According to Oumma, NTC required Gaddafi’s family extradition from Algeria. The Gaddafi family members in Algeria were granted “humanitarian asylum” when the Nato and its mercenaries started attacking Tripoli.
Bouteflika’s government, whose relationship with the NTC are bad, were expecting a TNC delegation to come to Algeria to discuss the matter. This visit was delyed until further notice.
Muammar Gaddafi’s wife Safia, his daughter Aïcha, and his sons Hannibal and Mohammed, and their respective families, left to Algeria on August 29th after being seeked by the rebels.
