US-led Zio-Wahhabis wage war on Syria

20130507-093613.jpg

PressTV

This morning, the government of Israel contacted President Assad of Syria. They did so as the leader of a coalition now openly at war against Syria and Iran, with plans to broaden the conflict.

Assad was told he would be allowed to continue his rule, but on the “Jordanian model,” as a puppet of Israel and Turkey.

Israeli armor is now inside Syria, not just the occupied zone, but has closed the distance to Damascus and has that city under artillery fire.

The claimed air attacks are a ruse; Israel has been using 155 and 175 mm artillery, mobile howitzers of extreme range, enhanced by arms expert Gerald Bull, who was assassinated by Israeli agents in 1990 as his reward.

The artillery attacks on Syria, using time delay and cluster munitions, are in direct support of military actions with fire control and communications being supplied by Israeli UAV aircraft operating in Syrian air space in support of Al Qaeda led rebel group.

These terrorist groups, aided by extremists from Libya and the Persian Gulf States are being trained and supplied in Jordan and Turkey. It is hard to ignore the fact that US troops, on a secret mission to verify Israeli claims of chemical weapon use by the Syrian government, are fully complicit in aiding Al-Qaeda operations against the Syrian government.

As for chemical weapon use, a report from United Nations human rights investigators, according to Reuters, has verified that it is rebels who have been using these weapons, in particular, deadly Sarin Gas.

Former Swiss attorney general, Carla Del Ponte, representing the United Nations independent commission of inquiry, based in Geneva, is quoted in a televised interview:

“Our investigators have been in neighboring countries interviewing victims, doctors and field hospitals and, according to their report of last week which I have seen, there are strong, concrete suspicions but not yet incontrovertible proof of the use of Sarin gas, from the way the victims were treated. This was use on the part of the opposition, the rebels, not by the government authorities.”

RED LINE

Last week, President Obama declared that use of chemical weapons by the Assad government would represent a “red line” for the United States, justifying military action against Syria. However, despite numerous unsubstantiated news reports, the first “actionable” reports of that mythic line being crossed place Israel, Turkey and even the United States on the wrong side, aligned with Al Qaeda in the use of deadly nerve agents against Syria.

Israel Signals Hardline Policy Intentions

20121128-094833.jpg
By Stephen LENDMAN

Observers thinking Palestinians gained from Pillar of Cloud might think again.

Nothing changed. Hardline Netanyahu policies continue. Expect worse ahead. Palestinian peace, reconciliation and unity advocates are murdered or arrested.

Qassem brigades leader Ahmed Jabari negotiated a truce agreement draft. Ways for establishing ceasefires in case of future flare-ups were included.

Jabari was working with Egypt to establish permanent peace. Israel murdered him to prevent it. Peace, stability, and Palestinian unity defeat its agenda. Conflict and violence are prioritized.

Rogue states need enemies to justify policies. Israel’s include crimes of war and against humanity. They rage against soft targets. Tougher ones require US intervention. Israel prefers riding shotgun.

When enemies don’t exist, they’re invented. Hamas is a convenient one. So are Iran, Syria, and Hezbollah.

Achieving regional hegemony depends on inventing enemies, destroying major ones, and eliminating rivals various ways. Balkanizing some into weak statelets substitutes for full-scale war.

War In Gaza: Why Now?

Washington’s Blog

Election Politics?

It was widely reported that Israel agreed to delay any war against Iran until after U.S. elections.

A little over a week after the election, Israel launched a “targeted assassination” against the leader of Hamas (who Haaretz called Israel’s subcontractor in Gaza). That is what started the current round of fighting.

Rabbi Arthur Waskow agrees that Israel started the fighting.

Professor Michel Chossudovsky notes:

On November 14, Hamas military commander Ahmed Jabari was murdered in a Israeli missile attack. In a bitter irony, barely a few hours before the attack, Hamas received the draft proposal of a permanent truce agreement with Israel.

“Hours before Hamas strongman Ahmed Jabari was assassinated, he received the draft of a permanent truce agreement with Israel, which included mechanisms for maintaining the cease-fire in the case of a flare-up between Israel and the factions in the Gaza Strip.”(Haaretz, November 15, 2012)

The targeted assassination of Ahmed Jabari was followed by an extensive bombing campaign under Operation Pillar of Cloud. The latter consists of a carefully planned military endeavor.

F-16 fighter planes, Apache helicopters and unmanned drones were deployed. Israeli naval forces deployed along the Gaza shoreline were involved in extensive shelling of civilian targets.

Israel’s defense minister Ehud Barack has confirmed a scenario of military escalation, blaming Palestine for having committed acts of aggression: .

“[t]he provocations we have suffered and the firing of rockets to the southern settlements within Israel have forced us to take this action. I want to make clear that Israeli citizens will not suffer such actions. The targets are to hit the rockets and to harm the organization of Hamas.”

The Israeli attacks were followed by the firing of dozens of rockets by Hamas against Israel.

Palestine’s response was known to Israeli war planners. The resulting Israeli civilian casualties are now being used to justify military escalation on humanitarian grounds.

What we are dealing with is a carefully planned operation, a clear act of provocation. The deaths of Israeli civilians (envisaged and foreseen by IDF military planners) are being used to muster the support of the Israeli public.

Meanwhile, the Israeli attack is casually portrayed by the Western media as part of a legitimate counter-terrorism agenda.

Did Israel Overstep This Time?

20121120-111123.jpg

By Stephen LENDMAN

Rogue states get away with murder only so long. Eventually their crimes catch up with them. Israeli policies are self-defeating. How long can killing civilian men, women, children, infants, and the elderly be called self-defense?

Palestinians and eyewitnesses explain best. Mondoweiss contributor Adie Mormech saw smoke rise after Israeli bombs exploded.

A four-year old child struck playing in the street.

An elderly Zaytoun neighborhood man killed. Four others injured.

The same scenario plays out across Gaza. Trapped civilians have nowhere to hide. Israel terrorizes them. World leaders blame Palestinian victims. They’re complicit in Israeli crimes.

Adie teachers 12-year old Abdullah Samouni. “We’re really scared,” he said. He lost his father. During Cast Lead, his four-year old brother was shot. “In three days, Abdullah was injured and lost 29 members of his extended family.”

How much more can he and others take? Al Shifa Hospital admits patients constantly….”an elderly man, a young man, a child, two more children.”

A 10-month old child with brain damage and a fractured skull. Her tiny body wasn’t strong enough to survive.

Who knows what’s next. “The complete madness of this violence makes me wonder what we have done to ourselves. How do we allow humanity to manifest itself in this way.”

On November 14, Israel launched Operation Pillar of Cloud. Sunday is day five. Over 1,000 sorties were flown.

Ground and offshore shelling supplements them. Mostly civilians and non-military targets are attacked. Israel prioritizes noncombatant killing and destruction. Civilians comprised over 80% of Cast Lead casualties. Media scoundrels pretend otherwise.

Reality is Gaza is as follows. Around 1.7 million people are trapped under siege. Humanitarian crisis conditions are longstanding.

Prior to Operation Pillar of Cloud, Israel launched intermittent air, ground, and offshore attacks. Wives lose husbands. Husbands lose wives. Parents lose children. They lose siblings. Extended family members perish. So do good friends.

No one’s safe anywhere anytime. No one’s sure who’ll live or die. When Palestinians respond defensively, they’re called terrorists. Israeli aggression is called justifiable self-defense.

How many Palestinian deaths and injuries will prove otherwise? How much wanton destruction is needed to expose Israeli state terror?

How much human suffering will be permitted before leaders able to stop it say no more? How long will Israel be allowed to get away with murder?

Israel’s partnership with America threatens world peace. One day expect a tipping point to be reached. When public rage crosses a threshold of no return, all bets are off.

World outrage about Israeli crimes grows. Did Israel overstep this time? Millions of ordinary people say so. They support Palestine. They’re outraged about daily bombing, shelling, slaughter, and destruction.

CRUCIAL UPDATE: NETANYAHU SAYS NO TO GROUND OPERATION

20121118-233032.jpg
By Gilad Atzmon

Ynet reported a few hours ago that Netanyahu gave private assurances to US President Obama that Israel is not planning a ground operation in Gaza yet.

“According to two American officials who were briefed on the phone conversation between Netanyahu and Obama, the PM said Israel would not consider a full-scale ground invasion of Gaza unless there was escalation from Hamas or an attack that caused significant casualties.”

The verdict is clear, PM Netanyahu tries to avoid his predecessors’ mistakes. But can he? The Israelis want to see blood, they are desperate for a victory, they want to see Gaza and the Hamas wiped out.

Interestingly enough, Israel and Netanyahu’s paralysis is the natural and inevitable outcome of the Jewish collective obsession with power. They can kill, they can destroy, they can deliver misery to the entire region but for some reason they never prevail.

By the time they win the battle they are shocked to find out that they’ve lost the war.

Israel Launches Savage Assault on Helpless Palestinians: Arab Governments Do Nothing As Usual

Mantiq al-Tayr

The White House aside, is there anything more useless, corrupt, immoral and completely full of shit than an Arab government? Just asking.

Below is my detailed analysis of what the Arab governments have done for the Palestinians since Israel began its orgy of murder against the Palestinians in Gaza a few days ago.

2. Okay, now it’s video time. You’ve earned it after all that. (I bet Shas Party members are wondering what the fuck I’m talking about, but I digress.)

The video below shows everything that is wrong with Arab governments.

For those of you who don’t speak Arabic, it is the press conference of the Israeli Prime Minister for Egyptian Affairs (IPMFEA), Hesham Qandil, at the end of his visit to Gaza which lasted about as long as a business lunch. He then got his ass out of town so fast you’d think he was a kitchen cockroach when the light is turned on.

Straight Talk on Gaza

20121118-150357.jpg

By Stephen Lendman

Palestine’s democratically elected government is targeted. West Bank coup d’etat authority has no legitimacy. Abbas’ term as president expired in January 2009. Israel rigged his 2005 election.

What’s ongoing is illegal aggressive war. Israeli provocations caused it. Israel’s entire history reflects belligerence. It lives by the sword. It’s a modern-day Sparta.

Operation Pillar of Cloud was planned months ago. All military campaigns take many weeks or months of planning. Attacking Gaza coincides with Israel’s January elections.

Netanyahu hopes war will ensure his reelection. On January 22 he’ll know. Also at issue is subverting Palestine’s November 29 UN non-member observer status bid. Israel and Washington are going all out to sabotage it. As of now it looks certain.

More on what’s ongoing below, what’s at stake, and why it matters.

Hundreds of global protests condemn Israel’s naked aggression. Many thousands across the Middle East, Europe, North America, and elsewhere denounce Israel’s cold-blooded premeditated murder.

Innocent civilians are being slaughtered and injured. Hundreds of sorties caused widespread destruction. Mostly non-military sites were targeted.

They include residential neighborhoods, schools, mosques, government buildings, factories and workshops, fishermen, agricultural areas, an electricity transmitter, UN facilities, and civilian infrastructure.

Cuba condemned Israel’s attacks. So did Russia, Malaysia, Egypt, other regional leaders, and Venezuela.

Hugo Chavez denounced Israeli aggression. “Barbarism” he called it, saying:

“Another aggression against the Gaza strip has begun. Savage, savage: the state of Israel bombing the Gaza strip again.”

Chavez always supported Palestine. He’s a rare leader who says what he means and means what he says. Vice President Nicolas Maduro said Venezuela will vote for Palestine’s UN upgrade.

He stressed his government’s support of “the long march of the Palestinian people towards full recognition of having a state, as an independent nation, the right to peace, and their ancestral territories.”

Excuse me while I vomit

20121116-103429.jpg

By Alan Hart, Information Clearing House

I imagine I am not the only one who feels the need to vomit (dictionary definition – “to throw up the contents of the stomach through the mouth”) when Israel’s Goebbels justifies the Zionist state’s ferocious and monstrously disproportionate attacks by air and sea on the Israeli-blockaded Gaza Strip, the prison camp which is home to 1.5 million besieged and mainly impoverished Palestinians.

The Israeli to whom I am referring is, of course, Australian-born Mark Regev, the prime minister’s spokesman, for which read spin doctor. The more I see and hear him in action, the more it seems to me that he makes Nazi Germany’s propaganda chief look like an amateur.

In a piece for The Observer on 6 June 2010, Ruth Sutherland wrote the following. “If the men from Mars ever wanted to manufacture a PR man, they would model their robot on Regev. No matter how formidable the interviewer, or how aggressive the questioning, he never buckles under pressure. His disarming Aussie accent and unfailing politeness – he calls interviewers ‘Sir’ and uses phrases like ‘I beg to disagree’ – almost lulls listeners into overlooking his aggression. He is always regretful about death and horror – he regrets that the non-Israeli victims brought their fate on themselves. Viewers are reduced to a trance of slack-jawed amazement at what he is prepared to say with a straight face. He is unlikely to win sceptics to Israel’s cause, but as a PR performer he is horribly compelling.”

Compelling he certainly is but, as Sutherland indicated (I will be more explicit), only to Westerners and Americans in particular who have been conditioned for decades by Zionist propaganda and, as a consequence, know nothing or little worth knowing about the truth of history as it relates to the making and sustaining of the conflict in and over Palestine that became Israel.

[ISRAHELL] Waging War Without Declaring It

20121113-094812.jpg

By Stephen LENDMAN

America does it in proxy wars and some direct ones. Israel waged war on Palestine since 1948.

Daily violence against innocent civilians persists largely below the radar. So does occupation harshness. Media scoundrels turn a blind eye.

In the week ending November 7 alone, Israel killed a Gaza civilian epileptic victim sufferer. Airstrikes killed two other Gazans.

In the West Bank Hares village, 12 civilians were attacked and wounded, including a child. Three attacks targeted Palestinian fishermen at sea.

Peaceful West Bank protesters were assaulted. Dozens were beaten and/or suffered from tear gas inhalation. Israeli security forces conducted 92 incursions into West Bank communities – an average of 13 a day.

They usually occur belligerently pre-dawn. Families are terrorized. Homes are ransacked. Property is damaged or destroyed. Adults and children are arrested, beaten, and detained.

Two incursions targeted Gazan communities. Five dozen arrests were made throughout Palestine, including five children and two women. One was the wife of Palestinian prisoner, Bassam al-Sa’di.

Several homes were demolished in ‘Anata and al-Tour neighborhoods. Tenders were issued for 1,200 new Pisgat Ze’ev and Ramot settlement housing units. They’ll be build on stolen Palestinian land.
