This US Task Force will be allowed for military intervention in Algeria, where the signs of a near Chaos are in place, especially in the southern areas, in view of the next presidential elections in which president Abdelaziz Bouteflika is seeking a fourth mandate.

As per London “Al Quds Arabi” newspaper which revealed the information, the Spanish government decision to authorize the US move of military forces in Spain was taken unusually suddainly.

Actually it took only a few days for Mariano Rajoy to give his OK to Washington to arrange their military move, which is a sign of the emergency of the situation. Algeria is in great danger, regime could collapse any moment.

The same source indicated that the priority of the 500 Marines will be to enforce the safety of the American citizens and of the US Embassy personnel and to cover their repatriation from the country.

BRUCE RIEDEL : WE ARE CLOSE TO A POPULAR REVOLUTION IN ALGERIA.

Bruce Riedel
Bruce Riedel former american presidential advisor, who served under 4 Administrations, has foreseen the explosion of a popular revolution in Algeria that would put an End to the military dictatorship.

In december 2012 during a conference given at the ElCano Royal Institute of Madrid, Bruce Riedel, a recognized expert on terrorism and Middle East policy declared : “Algeria is suffering from a police state. Its civil Society is kept under lock, and you can expect no improvement from the regime in place.

“The very similar social conditions that leaded to a popular revolution in Egypt are now in place in Algeria, a constant demographic pressure, despaired youths with no future, and lack of democracy.”

Bruce Riedel warned that “buying social peace of the people with billions of US dollars will have no effect in a near future.”

He concluded that the process has started and that the general popular uprising will come soon.

His conference was given in December 2012. We are in April 2013, and his predictions were true. The uprising has started in Kabylie region where the fierce repression and the human rights abuses by the regime only lighten the fire of the rebellion.

Al Jazeera, propagande et vidéos fabriquées : La Chaîne du Mensonge et du Crime

By Ali El Hadj Tahar, Le Grand Soir

N Syria learns to hate FSA occupation, NATO errs to add new front : MALI

By Dr Webster Griffin TARPLEY for PressTV

When the history of the NATO destabilization in Syria finally comes to be compiled, this past week may be regarded as the turning of the tide against the foreign death squads and in favor of the Assad government.

On the one hand, official Washington – the principal sponsor of the foreign fighters – has been deeply shaken by reports coming from circles close to the “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) which depict a rising wave of hatred in northern Syria against the catastrophic misrule experienced under the death squad occupation there.

Ordinary Syrians of all backgrounds are increasingly disgusted by the corruption, incompetence, and oppression of the FSA regime. The rebel chaos is contributing to a significant increase in the popularity of Assad and his regime, which had guaranteed stability and freedom from the worst privations for decades.

On the other hand, NATO commanders have committed, what may turn out to be, a fatal strategic blunder by opening a new fighting front against Algeria and Mali – sending Libyan-based death squads to take hostages at the In Amenas natural gas facility, shortly after France had dispatched troops to northern Mali to confront the advancing Tuareg — before they had succeeded in finishing off Assad.

In this, the NATO bigwigs are repeating the same mistake made by Hitler in June 1941 when he launched his Barbarossa attack on the USSR before he had achieved the decisive elimination of the British. The result became an unwinnable two front war which doomed the Nazi dictator.

Who is out of touch with reality – Assad or Obama?

The imperialist think tanks of Washington had been optimistic during the late autumn and early winter of 2012-2013 that the collapse of the Assad government would occur in short order. They were taken aback in early January by Assad’s defiant and self-confident New Year’s speech to his supporters. With her usual snide cynicism, the State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland hissed that Assad was “out of touch with reality.”

This week The Washington Post was forced to quote an expatriate Syrian journalist’s remark that “many Syrians wonder whether it isn’t the United States and its allies who are out of touch….” (Liz Sly, “Assad still confident that he can control Syria,” The Washington Post, January 12, 2013)

Then came the shocking reports that the rebel-held areas, far from becoming a paradise of freedom and democracy under FSA rule, were exhibiting the grim features of a “failed state.” As David Ignatius, a veteran speaking tube for the State Department and the intelligence community wrote on January 13, “this stark analysis is contained in an intelligence report provided to the State Department last week by Syrian sources working with the Free Syrian Army (FSA). Describing the situation in the area from Aleppo to the Turkish border, where Assad’s army has largely disappeared, the report draws a picture of disorganized fighters, greedy arms peddlers and profiteering warlords.” (David Ignatius, “Anarchy in Syria,” The Washington Post, January 13, 2013)

Coup and counter-coup in Washington

General David Petraeus, former CIA director

By Webster Griffin Tarpley

Sometimes, generals purge politicians. In 1648, during the English Civil War, Colonel Pride and his troops removed those members of the Long Parliament who opposed military domination; the puppets who remained were called the Rump Parliament.

This year, a cabal of generals evidently believed it could secure the White House for Mitt Romney by staging the Benghazi incident and using it as the signal for a cold coup under cover of elections — probably including computer-generated election fraud — to bring down Obama. They guessed wrong.

Politicians sometimes purge generals. When the French Secret Army Organization (OAS) staged a putsch in Algiers in April 1961 to prevent the independence of Algeria, President de Gaulle had to round up and jail a number of generals and other officers. The Obama administration and its establishment controllers appear to be ousting a number of intelligence and military officials who took part in illegal operations to replace Obama with Romney. These sackings are being presented to the public under the guise of soap opera sexual infractions or expense account padding, in the hope of hiding some real mechanisms of power from the popular gaze. The outgoing US military cabal favors the extension of colonial wars, like those in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as an attack on Iran. Good riddance.

General Petraeus: Neocon Who Sought War with Iran

The most spectacular example is the fall of General David Petraeus, the CIA director, and one of the leading US advocates of an early war with Iran. The heads of several other rogue figures are rolling. The result is one of those rare moments when parts of the rogue network or invisible government can be observed by those who have enough knowledge to understand what they are seeing. But the firings have only scratched the surface.

The Romney backers were made up of neocons, Bush holdovers, and members of the Mormon Mafia in the intelligence community — a relatively narrow base. The Obama supporters were the Brzezinski-Nye soft power group and military opposed to the Iran war. The neocons and reactionary Mormons wanted to restore aggressive war and wholesale bombing as the preferred option for US foreign policy. Although they love drones and assassinations, they want to keep significant US conventional forces in the Middle East.  Continue reading

israel threats against Iran, against int’l law: Algeria

The Algerian ambassador to Tehran says the Israeli regime’s war rhetoric against Iran and other regional countries is in flagrant violation of international laws and the UN Charter.

Sofiane Mimouni said on Monday that according to the United Nations Charter, any threat against a UN member state is “forbidden and unacceptable.”

Mimouni said his country continues to support Iran’s right to peaceful nuclear technology, adding that the Islamic Republic has never violated the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT).

“Algeria has constantly supported the legal rights of countries, including the Islamic Republic of Iran, to possess and use peaceful nuclear technology,” said the Algerian diplomat.

Tel Aviv has repeatedly threatened Iran with a military strike, falsely claiming that Tehran is pursuing non-civilian objectives in its nuclear energy program.  Continue reading

NATO Terrorists Target Syria & Algeria

NATO’s Pan-Arab Terrorist Blitzkrieg.
by Tony Cartalucci

August 29, 2012 – Western policy makers admit that NATO’s operations in Libya have played the primary role in emboldening Al Qaeda’s AQIM faction (Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb). The Fortune 500-funded Brookings Institution’s Bruce Riedel in his article, “The New Al Qaeda Menace,” admits that AQIM is now heavily armed thanks to NATO’s intervention in Libya, and that AQIM’s base in Mali, North Africa, serves as a staging ground for terrorist activities across the region.

NATO’s intervention in Libya has resurrected listed-terrorist organization and Al Qaeda affiliate, LIFG. It had previously fought in Iraq and Afghanistan, and now has fighters, cash and weapons, all courtesy of NATO, spreading as far west as Mali, and as far east as Syria. The feared “global Caliphate” Neo-Cons have been scaring Western children with for a decade is now taking shape via US-Saudi, Israeli, and Qatari machinations, not “Islam.” In fact, real Muslims have paid the highest price in fighting this real “war against Western-funded terrorism.”

AQIM, like their Libyan counterparts, the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG) are both listed by the US State Department as “Foreign Terrorist Organizations.” Likewise, both the UK Home Office (.pdf, listed as GSPC) and the UN recognize both organizations as terrorists.   Continue reading

Bloomberg: Syria Violence is Sectarian

Admission that sectarian extremism, not democracy or freedom, drives vicious killing, means West, not Russia must back off arming belligerents in Syria.
By Tony Cartalucci, LandDestroyer Report

June 4, 2012 – For decades across the Arab World every nation from Algeria to Morocco, Egypt to Syria, have fought against sectarian extremists from organizations like the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda. Algeria, for example, fought so long, so hard against violent extremists attempting to overrun their secular society and target ethnic and religious minorities including Christians and even Sunni moderates, that it is known as the “lost” or “black decade.” Algeria faced amongst others, Al Qaeda in the Islamic Maghreb (AQIM), a US State Department-listed terrorist organization linked directly to neighboring Libya’s “Libyan Islamic Fighting Group” (LIFG) which was recently armed, trained, funded, and politically backed by NATO to overrun Muammar Qaddafi.

Now Algeria and its neighbors face a reinvigorated AQIM courtesy of NATO.

Image: Algeria’s “Black Decade” was a long-fought battle against sectarian extremists who attempted to violently overthrow the Algerian government. While representatives of the West’s hegemonic global agenda would like to see Algeria be “next” to fall, it seems that the Algerian people have learned their lesson, and stopped the US-engineered “Arab Spring” dead in its tracks. Syria now faces its “black years” with the West imploring Russia, China, and Iran to abandon it to what is clearly the same extremism Algerians justifiably fought for a decade.

….

In both Egypt and Syria, it was the Muslim Brotherhood that had attempted to overrun secular governments with violence mirroring exactly what is unfolding today, violence that ultimately failed. Today, the Western press decries Egyptian and Syrian efforts to hem in these sectarian extremists, particularly in Syria where the government is accused of “massacring” armed Brotherhood militants in Hama in 1982. The constitutions of secular Arab nations across Northern Africa and the Middle East, including the newly rewritten Syrian Constitution, have attempted to exclude sectarian political parties, especially those with “regional” affiliations to prevent the Muslim Brotherhood and Al Qaeda affiliated political movements from ever coming back into power.

Algeria shows NATO the door

Algeria is at risk of seriously damaging the relations with the countries of NATO. It would seem that in the past 20 years, this country has become a leading partner of the West in the fight against terrorism in North Africa. The events of the last year in Libya, in which Algeria nearly openly supported al-Gaddafi, have clearly shown that serious complications have emerged in the relations between the partners.

The Algerian leadership was repeatedly asked for an explanation with respect to the support of the Colonel. In November, after the death of Gaddafi the relations between the former partners in the fight against terrorism were marked with additional complications. Algeria banned the U.S. and France to carry out flights of unmanned aerial vehicles over its territory. This affected nearly all countries of the Sahel and infringed upon their sovereignty.

The Americans and the French tried to reason with the Algerian side that it was necessary in the fight against terrorism and the spread of weapons from Libya. However, the Algerian President Bouteflika has remained adamant, pointing out that Algeria was coping well with the terrorist threat. Continue reading

Libyan rebels: Algeria to explode next

By Sergei Balmasov

The leaders of the Libyan rebels predict that Algeria will explode after Libya. Among them is the well-known activist of the PNS Bin Khalifa. According to him, “Algeria will explode next. I am convinced that the revolutionary process is already ongoing there. Algeria is a claustrophobic state, totally under the control of the army. The army will not give up power voluntarily. Even President Abdelaziz Bouteflika is no more than a puppet in the hands of the military. ”

Such statements could have been disregarded if they were unique. However, the Algerian leadership is preparing for the worst because on November 4 news agency algeria-isp.com has distributed a concerning video. The video shows a representative of a rebels’ leader promising to overthrow the government of Algeria for the support of Gaddafi and declares his readiness to launch attacks on the neighboring countries as early as this November.
