Nilesat, Arabsat stop broadcasting Syria state TV channels

Satellite companies Nilesat and Arabsat have stopped broadcasting Syrian television stations.

Satellite companies Nilesat and Arabsat have stopped broadcasting Syrian television stations in a clear act of hostility against the Damascus government.

The operators took Syria’s state television channel as well as pro-government channels al-Ekhbaryah and al-Dunya off air on Wednesday shortly after a meeting of Arab League ministers in Cairo.

Stopping Broadcast of Addounia TV on Arabsat & Nilesat Preparatory Step to Launch Misinformation Campaign

DAMASCUS, (SANA) – The administrations of Arabsat and Nilesat on Thursday stopped the broadcast of Addounia TV Channel in line with the misleading campaign launched against Syria.

Ministry of Information said that stopping broadcast of Addounia TV is a preparatory step to launch a campaign of false news and photos by instigative channels.

Meanwhile, Twitter social networking website published misleading news on tactical withdrawal of the Syrian army as part of the same campaign.

The Ministry stressed that the Syrian armed forces are continuing their operations to eliminate terrorists.

“We want to assure our people that the government and the Syrian armed forces are ready for such step,” said that Ministry, adding that what these satellite channels broadcast and will broadcast is “completely untrue”.

You can watch the live broadcast of Addounia TV on the following frequency: Satellite: Nilesat / Frequency: 10921 / Polarization: Vertical.
