Russia and China would consider an Attack on Iran – or Syria – as an Attack on their National Security

RT notes:

The escalating conflict around Iran should be contained by common effort, otherwise the promising Arab Spring will grow into a “scorching Arab Summer,” says Dmitry Rogozin, Russia’s deputy prime minister and former envoy to NATO.

“Iran is our close neighbor, just south of the Caucasus. Should anything happen to Iran, should Iran get drawn into any political or military hardships, this will be a direct threat to our national security,”stressed Rogozin.

Here’s what Rogozin is talking about (notice how close the Southern tip of Russia is to Northern Iran):

A Chinese general has also allegedly said that China would launch World War III if Iran is attacked. And see this.

While many Americans still believe that our government would not be crazy enough to attack Iran, economic – not national security – considerations may be driving the warmongers.

In addition, Iran and Syria have had a mutual defense pact for years. And China and Russia might also defend Syria if it is attacked. So an attack on Syria could draw Iran into the war … followed by China and Russia.

Iran hits back at President Sarkozy over attack warning

“Iran has warned it would “not hesitate” to strike back at any military action, in a formal complaint to the United Nations over an attack warning made by French President Nicolas Sarkozy.

Mr Sarkozy said last week that Iran’s “military nuclear and ballistic ambitions constitute a growing threat that may lead to a preventive attack.”

Iran’s UN ambassador said in a letter to UN leaders that his country would “not hesitate to act in self-defence to respond to any attack against the Iranian nation.”

Iran would “take appropriate defensive measures to protect itself,” the ambassador, Mohmmad Khazaee, told UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon and the Security Council, of which France is one of the five permanent members.

Mr Sarkozy had made “inflammatory remarks and baseless allegations,” the envoy added.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran expresses its deep concern over, and strong condemnation of, such a provocative, unwarranted and irresponsible statement against Iran,” Mr Khazaee said.

The French leader has been one of the most outspoken critics of Iran in the western alliance which has accused Tehran of seeking a nuclear bomb. The Iranian ambassador again denied the charge.

In an August 31 speech to French ambassadors, Mr Sarkozy did not say which country might carry out the preventive attack.

But he said “Iran refuses to negotiate seriously” and declared that France would work with its allies to build support for tougher international sanctions.

The UN Security Council has already passed four rounds of sanctions against Iran over its enrichment program.”

911 Truth: Operation Northwoods

Operation Northwoods was the apparent blueprint for 911. The operation was designed by the Joint Chiefs of Staff and  the Defense Department for the overthrow of Fidel Castro in 1962. Smarting from the “Bay of Pigs” fiasco, military intelligence wanted the guy gone at all costs. The documents were declassified in 1997, while PNAC and the Hart-Rudman commission were looking for new ways to sucker the American public into new offensive wars in the Middle East. (Source)
Operation Northwoods:
“A series of well coordinated incidents will be planned to take place in and around Guantanamo to give genuine appearance of being done by hostile Cuban forces.
    a. Incidents to establish a credible attack (not in chronological order):
       1. Start rumors (many). Use clandestine radio.
       2. Land friendly Cubans in uniform “over-the-fence” to
           stage attack on base.
       3. Capture Cuban (friendly) saboteurs inside the base.
       4. Start riots near the base main gate (friendly Cubans).
       5. Blow up ammunition inside the base; start fires.
       6. Burn aircraft on air base (sabotage).
       7. Lob mortar shells from outside of base into base. Some
           damage to installations.
       8. Capture assault teams approaching from the sea or vicinity
            of Guantanamo City.
       9. Capture militia group which storms the base.
      10. Sabotage ship in harbor; large fires—napthalene.
      11. Sink ship near harbor entrance. Conduct funerals for
mock-victims (may be in lieu of (10)).
    b. United States would respond by executing offensive operations to secure water and power supplies, destroying artillery and mortar emplacements which threaten the base.
    c. Commence large scale United States military operations.”
