Eutelsat’s Zionist boss continues war on media freedom

The European satellite provider Eutelsat, owned by the Zionist Michel de Rosen, has ordered Nilesat to pull the plug on Iran’s English-language news channel, Press TV, as part of his war on freedom of speech.

Eutelsat’s secretary Edoudardo Silverio has written a letter to Nilesat authorities, demanding them to stop broadcasting Iranian channels, including Press TV.

“We hereby officially request again that you discontinue the broadcast of these IRIB [Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting] channels within 48 hours of your receipt of this letter,” read the letter dated February 18.

The letter came in response to Nilesat’s refusal to pull the plug on Press TV.

In December 2012, a US intelligence analyst said the French-based satellite provider Eutelsat SA is a company whose agenda has been long dictated to it by Israeli extremist groups.

“Eutelsat is a person, not a company. Eutelsat says it is European, but it is actually Israeli. French sounding ‘Michel de Rosen’, an Israeli citizen, runs Eutelsat company with Israeli stockholders; a company long dictated to by extremist groups within Israel, the militant ultra-nationalists of the Likudist regime of [Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu,” Gordon Duff told Press TV at that time.

Eutelsat SA ordered media services company, Arqiva, on October 15, 2012, to stop the broadcast of several Iranian satellite channels, including Press TV.

The company’s only press release stated that the decision was based on reinforced European Union Council sanctions and a confirmation by France’s broadcasting authority, but an EU spokesperson told Press TV that the sanctions contain no such orders. Continue reading

STN to sue HispaSat over Press TV, Hispan TV bans

International satellite company STN has denounced as “illegal” HispaSat’s decision to take Iranian news channels Press TV and Hispan TV off the air, saying it would sue the Spanish satellite provider.

Satellite Telecommunications Network (STN) said in a statement on Monday that the ban on Iranian channels must stop immediately.

The decision by the Slovenia-based satellite company follows HispaSat’s blocking of STN transponder used to broadcast the two Iranian channels.

“We have evaluated the legal basis for your request and find no legal ground to terminate the retransmission of the two channels whatsoever,” STN wrote in a letter to HispaSat.

It said it had considered the requests dated April 12, 2011 and March 23, 2012 based on the European Union (EU) regulations regarding “restrictive measures directed against certain persons, entities and bodies in view of the situation on Iran.”

Meanwhile, contacted by Press TV earlier, Michael Mann, chief spokesperson of EU foreign policy chief Catherine Ashton, said:

“The EU’s restrictive measures against Iran, which focus on finance, energy, trade and transport, do not contain elements which could have forced as such Eutelsat to take this step. EU sanctions do not require these TV channels to be taken off the air.”

On December 21, 2012, HispaSat took Iran’s Press TV and Hispan TV off the air, and ordered Overon, a subsidiary satellite company, to stop the transmission of the two international TV channels.  Continue reading

Sinister September: Zionist anti-Islam plot simmering

Egyptian protesters burn the US flag during a demonstration against blasphemous film on September 12, 2012 outside the US embassy in Cairo.

The month of September has witnessed an accelerated trend of coordinated attempts in desecrating Islam and tarnishing the image of the Muslims across the globe.

That a blasphemous movie desecrating the person of the holy Prophet of Islam has been released in the United States simultaneously with the 9/11 tragic incident cannot be looked upon as sheer coincidence.

In a coordinated effort, UK channel 4 broadcast a documentary called ‘Islam: The Untold Story’ last week in stark distortion of Islam. Director Tom Holland who is so dismally bereft of any knowledge on Islam claims there is little written contemporary evidence about the origin of Islam and the life of Prophet Mohammad (PBUH). Even barely noted for his vampire and supernatural stories, Holland’s non-fiction books have nothing to do with religious matters or Islam.

In the documentary, he has included Patricia Crone, an infamous pseudo-scholar affiliated to the Institute for Advanced Study in Princeton who has intensely voiced her seasoned antagonism against Islam in the past. In ‘Hagarism: The Making of the Islamic World’ which she coauthored with her associate Michael Cook, Crone fallaciously argues that the Holy Quran was composed, possibly in Syria or Iraq, more than fifty years after the Prophet’s death and ascribed to the Prophet. Crone also says that the Holy Book was fabricated during the reign of Caliph Abdul Malik (685-705) in an attempt to legitimize an expanding empire. The authors refer to early Muslims as Hagarenes, the descendants of Prophet Abraham by Hagar in order to differentiate them from the Jews, who are the descendants of Abraham by Sarah.  Continue reading

Nilesat, Arabsat stop broadcasting Syria state TV channels

Satellite companies Nilesat and Arabsat have stopped broadcasting Syrian television stations.

Satellite companies Nilesat and Arabsat have stopped broadcasting Syrian television stations in a clear act of hostility against the Damascus government.

The operators took Syria’s state television channel as well as pro-government channels al-Ekhbaryah and al-Dunya off air on Wednesday shortly after a meeting of Arab League ministers in Cairo.

In June, the Arab League asked satellite operators Nilesat and Arabsat to shut down Syrian TV signals.

The operators, however, continue broadcasting Syria’s anti-Damascus television channels.

The Syrian government has slammed the move as an attempt to silence the Syrians, stressing that it is in violation of media ethics. Continue reading

‘Zionist Bicom behind UK Press TV ban’

The Zionist Britain Israel Communications & Research Centre (Bicom) has collaborated with the state-controlled British Office of Communications (Ofcom) to ban the alternative English-language channel Press TV in the UK, a political analyst says.

“With anti-Iran sabotage activities high on its agenda, Bicom has worked closely with Ofcom towards eliminating a critical voice: Press TV,” Ismail Salami, Iranian author and Middle East expert, wrote in an article published on Press TV on Sunday.

Ofcom revoked Press TV’s license and removed the channel from the Sky platform on January 20 for what it claimed to be the news network’s breach of the Communications Act. The British media regulator also served Press TV’s London office with an order to pay a 100,000-pound fine.

“An office with intimate ties to the [British] Royal Family, Ofcom has issued the verdict under the sway of some influential parties in the government and the Bicom firm to boot,” Salami added.

He went on to explain the activities and objectives of the Israeli-sponsored company, pointing out that as a “London-based” organization “tasked with inseminating the Zionist political ideology, Bicom also funds those who are in one way or another involved with anti-Iran activities.”

“Apart from garnering support for the Zionist regime among Britons, the office also serves as a bridge between the Mossad and MI6,” with its current head, Lorna Fitzsimons, a member of the parliamentary lobby group Labor Friends of Israel (LFI), Salami elucidated.

The Iranian author also pointed to the October 2011 scandal over Adam Werritty — an “influential member” of Bicom and “an unofficial chief of staff” to the former British Defense Minister Liam Fox — and his efforts to subvert the Islamic Republic of Iran.

“Werritty was financially backed by murky sources such as Bicom. And he was considered an influential member of the organization and a highly regarded agent for Mossad,” he noted.

“Reports also suggest that Werritty had regularly met Iranian anti-government groups, Israeli agents and right-wing US groups with a long-standing interest in subverting [Iranian] President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and overthrowing the Islamic government,” Salami elaborated.

The British media regulator Ofcom is also said to have close ties to Britain’s royal family. The cables released by the whistleblower website Wikileaks show that Press TV’s programs on the royal wedding, which many in the country described as extravagant, angered the royal family.

The Middle East expert noted that, “With the closure of Press TV’s office in London and the removal of the channel from the Sky platform, Britain is now deluded into believing that her efforts have resulted in splendid fruits and that she has been able to gratify the whims of the Zionists.”

“Alas! Poor Ms. Britain! There is never an impediment to the free flow of truth!” Salami concluded.

‘UK Press TV ban prelude to Iran war’

A political analyst says the British media regulator (Ofcom) shut down Press TV in the UK to prevent the broadcast of the truth about Iran and to set the stage for an attack on the country, Press TV reports.

The British Office of Communications (Ofcom) revoked Press TV’s license and removed the channel from the Sky platform on Friday for what it claimed to be the news network’s breach of the Communications Act. Ofcom had earlier hit Press TV with a fine of 100 thousand pounds.

“All that is coming to deny Iran the ability of expressing really what is happening in Iran and the motives behind imperialist forces [who] are preparing to attack a country [which] never for the last three hundred years attacked anyone except defending itself against aggressors,” Saeb Shaath told Press TV in an exclusive interview.

Ofcom had reportedly alleged that Press TV’s editorial team was based in Tehran, claiming that this is in breach of broadcasting license rules in the UK.

“Ofcom has decided to revoke the license held by Press TV Limited with immediate effect,” the media regulator said in a statement.

Shaath said Israel and the United States had been pushing to take Press TV off air “for years,” stressing that Ofcom’s decision had been influenced by the Zionist lobby.

“But to me, I see this is a real dark day for freedom of speech and a gross reminder of the Spanish Inquisition to silence the voice of Press TV, which gives a huge number of followers in the UK and EU an alternative point of view which underlies what is really going on in the world and that is what has scared them.”

Many observers believe that the British government’s hostile campaign against Press TV has its roots in the channel’s extensive and transparent coverage of the role the British government played in the killing of tens of thousands of innocent people in Iraq and Afghanistan.

They have also noted this behavior is quite natural for a government with more than 400 years of colonialist background filled with breaches of people’s rights, murder, and plundering various nations’ assets.

“They (Ofcom) discovered [that] Press TV is really influential in changing the points of view in the West; and they did not create [a similar] Press TV, they could not influence Press TV,” Shaath concluded.
