NATO’s Slow Genocide in Libya: Syria is Next

By Tony Cartalucci, Land Destroyer Report for Infowars.com

While Qatari government propaganda outlet Al Jazeera is busy whitewashing the NATO-led terrorist take-over of Libya with “documentaries” like “Gaddafi: The Endgame – State of Denial,” depicting the evisceration of one of Africa’s most developed nation-states as a pro-democracy revolution yielding a promising tomorrow – Libya in reality has been plunged into perpetual violence, destabilization, and division. And as militants battle each other while carving the once unified Libya into a myriad of fiefdoms, genocidal death squads continue a campaign of extermination nationwide.

Image: The people of Tawargha are Libyans and have been Libyan for generations, settling there from sub-Saharan Africa. They have been brutally persecuted by the NATO-armed terrorists now running Libya. In Syria, expect these to be Alawite, Christian, and secular faces.
….

One group of Libyans hit hardest are the people of Tawargha – who were either exterminated or exiled from their city of 10,000-30,000 during the NATO-led destruction of Libya last year. Since then, their refugee camps have been raided, and survivors who have not yet fled Libya are being systematically imprisoned, tortured, and murdered.

Now, the very network of corporate-funded and directed NGOs charged with “human rights advocacy,” who assisted the Libyan rebels in willfully lying to the world over violations of “human rights” in the lead up to NATO’s military intervention, are finally reporting the widespread atrocities being carried out by the rebels themselves. In fact, organizations like Human Rights Watch (HRW) and Amnesty International, both funded by convicted criminal and Wall Street speculator, George Soros, began reporting such atrocities back in 2011, but only long after NATO bombs were already falling on Libya and the process of “regime change” was already irreversible. And, at critical junctures, such as the sieges of Bani Walid and Sirte, where NATO itself was committing systematic war crimes by air in tandem with terrorist forces on the ground – organizations like HRW and Amnesty International were altogether mute.

Image: The desolate Libyan city of Sirte after NATO’s months-long siege – the tragic aftermath of a UN-sanctioned “humanitarian war.” Not a word regarding NATO’s blockade and bombardment of these cities has been mentioned by either HRW or Amnesty International in any terms resembling the rhetoric they used to justify NATO’s intervention in March of 2011.

….

Now though, with Syria next on the chopping block, many around the world are looking at the “progress” made in Libya to see if the UN and NATO’s proposal for military intervention is justified, warranted, or feasible. What they see is a patchwork of terrorist regimes butchering people systematically, infighting, making duplicitous, self-serving deals with foreign firms and otherwise running the nation into the ground.

Libya: 3 Medial science students kidnapped and raped by Nato mercenaries

UN Human Rights panel said in a statement that they are “pleased to receive assurances of the government’s continued commitment to human rights”, as they praised Mercenary rule in Libya, 3 innocent medical science students were kidnapped in Salahudine area of Tripoli and raped consecutively by NATO Mercenaries before dropped in Tripoli hospital at closing hours.

UN continually destroys its own credibility, no laughing matter when they praise terrorist Mercenaries who are not getting paid by NATO anymore therefore now looting and raping Libyans and Libyans homes.

Bernard Henri Levy: The “philosopher” who helped NATO destroying Libya and transported weapons for the rebels

By MKERone (co founder of CounterPsyOps)

In an article published in the french magazine Paris Match (17th to 23rd November 2011 issue), controlled by French largest press company: The Lagardère Group (Mr. Lagardère is a very close friend of Nicolas Sarkozy) we can read/learn incredible facts about infamous Bernard Henri Levy involvment in the illegal and unjustified war on Libya ( Read more about him here, here, here and here).

First off, the magazine explains that BHL (Bernad Henri Levy) has been promoting the “responsability to protect” – in other words: the right for western countries to bomb indiscriminately sovereign nations considered as “non aligned” or too independent – for over 30 years. And claims that the fall of Muammar Gaddafi is the brilliant achievement of this “fight”. This simple sentence shows how desperately French Press is trying to make direct intervention of world’s most powerful and criminal army, NATO, appear as something morally right and necessary to keep world peace and save innocent civilians.

Further in the article, and as above picture shows, the magazine goes on saying that BHL provided NATO with bombing coordinates to kill Libyan Green resistance fighters. We can also learn that BHL transported weapons (in total violation of UN resolutions that imposed an “arm embargo” on Libya). Needless to ask who he gave those weapon to, nor on behalf of whom he did so…

This is beyond imagination. This man is clearly admitting that he ACTIVELY participated in an illegal regime change that Libyans didn’t want, the slaughter of innocent civilians and the destruction of the wealthiest African country, and no legal action whatsoever is taken against him. He keeps being invited in TV shows, gets mainstream media support for promoting his books, all TV channels call on him to have his views on geopolitics… I almost can’t believe that this is happening. How come French people don’t realize what’s unfolding right before their eyes. Are they that blind, ignorant, or are they just careless? None of these answers would satisfy me anyway. People really need to wake up!!!

Anyone stealing food to survive and feed his/her kids can go to jail, but this man participating in massive killings is free like a bird…  He should be immediately arrested and tried for being an active accomplice of crimes against humanity and Genocide! What kind of world are we living in?

Do not hesitate to contact with BHL to let him know what you think about him and his “accomplishments”:

Libya’s new Liberation Front organizing in the Sahel

By Franklin Lamb

“Sahel” in Arabic means “coast” or “shoreline”. Unless one was present 5000 years ago when, according to anthropologists, our planets first cultivation of crops began in this then plush, but now semiarid region where temperatures reach 125 degrees F, and only camels and an assortment of creatures can sniff out water sources, it seems an odd geographical name place for this up 450 miles wide swatch of baked sand that runs from the Atlantic Ocean to the Red Sea.

Yet, when standing along its edge, the Sahel does have the appearance of a sort of dividing shoreline between the endless sands of the Sahara and the Savanna grasses to the south. Parts of Mali, Algeria, Niger, Chad, and Sudan, all along the Libyan border fall within this supposed no man’s land.
Today the Sahel is providing protection, weapons gathering and storage facilities, sites for training camps, and hideouts as well as a generally formidable base for those working to organize the growing Libyan Liberation Front (LLF). The aim of the LLF is to liberate Libya from what it considers NATO installed colonial puppets. The Sahel region Continue reading

Italy 's shameful colonial behaviour regarding Libya : From Left to Right From North to South

Italy had no say in the war of aggression against Libya. As Berlusconi said the war in Libya was pushed by very powerful men. Yet Italy was persuaded to join on promises it will keep its privileged economic ties to the attacked country. Dr Paul Craig Roberts affirms that the attack on Libya is reminiscent of the strangulation of Japan by cutting its access to energy resources that the US & UK practised & backfired into WW2. This time the target is China: Anyone but the Chinese will be allowed to exploit Libya. Italy political class from Left to Right from North to South feasts now on the absurd prospects of renewing its colonial influence in Libya. The Libyan people are just the indigenous population of a land that belongs to Italy. Psychopaths & Sociopaths continue to rule in the Italian peninsula.

Italy moves to secure its share of the booty in Libya

14.09.2011. By Marianne Arens

Italy is not prepared to yield its traditional influence in Libya to its rivals. Italian business and political circles take for granted their right to decide on the future of the oil and gas wealth of the country’s former colony.

“Italy will be the first partner of Libya, as it always has been,” Foreign Minister Franco Frattini declared September 3 at an economic forum in Cernobbio on Lake Como. “Italy will always maintain its first place.” Continue reading

NATO’s War Crimes in Libya : Who Grieves for the Fallen Heroes?

by Prof. James Petras

‘The conquest and occupation of Libyan is first and foremost a military victory for NATO. Every aspect of the military offensive was spearheaded and directed by NATO air, sea and ground forces. The NATO invasion of Libya was basically a response to the “Arab spring” : the popular uprisings which spread from North Africa to the Persian Gulf . The NATO assault formed part of a general counter-attack designed to contain and reverse the popular democratic and anti-imperialist movements which had ousted or were on the verge of overthrowing US-client dictators.

Political and military considerations were foremost in motivating the NATO invasion: As late as May 2009, the U.S. and European regimes were developing close bilateral military, economic and security agreements with the Gaddafi regime. According the British daily, the Independent (9/4/2011), official Libyan documents found in its Foreign Office described how on December 16, 2003, the US CIA and British MI6 established close collaboration with the Gaddafi government. The MI6 provided Gaddafi with details on Libyan opposition leaders exiled in England and even drafted a speech for him as he sought rapprochement with the outside world.

U.S. Secretary of State Clinton presented Mutassin Gaddafi to the Washington press during a visit in 2009 stating, “I am very pleased to welcome Minister Gaddafi to the State Department. We deeply value the relationship between the United States and Libya . We have many opportunities to deepen and broaden our co-operation and I am very much looking forward to building on this relationship.”(examiner.com 2/26/2011).

Between 2004-2010 the largest oil and petroleum service multinational corporations, including British Petroleum, Exxon Mobil, Halliburton, Chevron, Conoco and Marathon Oil joined with military-industrial giants like Raytheon and Northrop Grumman, Dow Chemical and Fluor and signed enormous investments and sales deals with Libya (examiner.com op cit).

In 2009, the U.S. State Department awarded a $1.5 million dollar grant to train Libyan civilian and government security forces. The White House budget for 2012 included a grant for training Libyan security forces. General Dynamics signed a $165 million dollar deal in 2008 to equip Libya ’s elite mechanized brigade (examiner.com ibi).

On August 24, 2011 Wikileaks released US embassy cables from Tripoli , which described the positive assessment a group of leading Republican senators had made of US-Libyan relations in during their visit in late 2009. These cables highlighted ongoing security training programs involving Gaddafi’s police and military, as well as the US’ strong support for the regime’s repression of radical Islamists, many of whom are now leading the NATO-backed ‘rebel forces’ now occupying Tripoli.

Libya: The Horror…the Horror!

Los desastres de la guerra: Estragos de la guerra by Francisco Goya

Horror is being inflicted on a nation of 6.5 million people to rob them of their freedom, their wealth, their natural resources, their piece of land. Contrary to the Viet Nam war, where the atrocities committed by France & the US armies against civilians were widely known only after years of conflict & hundreds of thousands exterminated, the atrocities committed in Libya are been documented & mass distributed since day one. A horrifying catalog of human depravity can be seen in YouTube. Testimony accounts are still scarce & fragmentary but it seems clear by now that many people have lost their sense of humanity & are killing or running for their lives if not trapped in impossible situations. Confronted with such events any informed viewer has the moral obligation to call out loud for a complete cease fire & an end to the hostilities by all parts involved in Libya. Not to politicians, media or NGOs but to his/her community & the people who can propagate the message. The urgent task in Europe is to raise awareness of the disasters of the war in Libya and how they could & should be stopped immediately through any of the plans proposed by Libyans & different international actors. The only party who persists in continuing hostilities & systematically rejects negotiations is NATO. NATO stands, as of today, as the major obstacle to peace in Libya. For how long? It will depend on us. If it would be left to NATO, Libyans will be fighting for years like in Iraq & Afghanistan. Not again.
