Who profits from killing Charlie?

A pro-style jihadist commando attack in Europe’s heart. Cui bono?

Careful planning and preparation, Kalashnikovs, rocket-propelled grenade launcher, balaclavas, sand-colored ammunition vest stuffed with spare magazines, army boots, easy escape in a black Citroen…

And the icing on this particularly lethal cake: faultless Paris-based logistical support to pull it all off. A former top French military commander, Frédéric Gallois, has stressed the perfect application of “urban guerrilla technique” (where are those notorious Western counter-terrorism “experts” when one needs them?)

Some said they spoke perfect French, while others maintained their command of the language was mangled and broken. Anyway, what matters is that they uttered the magic word: “We’re Al-Qaeda.” Better yet, they told a man in the street: “Tell the media that this is Al-Qaeda in Yemen,” which means, in American terror terminology, Al-Qaeda in the Arab Peninsula (AQAP), which had Charlie Hebdo’s editor/cartoonist Stephane Charbonnier (“Charb”) on a hit list duly promoted by AQAP’s glossy Inspire magazine. Accusation: “Insulting the Prophet Mohammed.”

And just to make sure everyone had the perpetrators implanted on their brain, the killers also said, “Allahu Akbar”,“We have killed Charlie Hebdo” and “We have avenged the Prophet.”

Foreign journalists and other people hold placards that read “I am Charlie” during a campaign at a bookstore in Beijing January 8, 2015 for the victims of the shooting at the Paris offices of weekly newspaper Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday. (Reuters/Jason Lee)

Case closed? Well, it took only a few hours for French police to identify the (usual?) suspects: French-Algerian brothers Said and Cherif Kouachi. The third man, the driver of the black Citroen, apparently 18-year-old Hamyd Mourad, then turned himself in with an ironclad alibi. So the third man remains a cipher.

They all wore balaclavas. The Kouachi brothers have not been captured, but the police seem to know very well who they are. Because they found an abandoned ID in the black Citroen (oh, the troubles of being a command in a rush…) How come they didn’t know anything before the carnage?

Right on cue, Cherif Kouachi’s bio was splattered all over the shop. He was on a global watch list. Along with six others, he was sentenced in May 2008 to 3 years in prison for “terrorism”; in fact unloading a dozen young Frenchmen via madrassas in Egypt and Syria to none other than Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the killed-by-an-American-missile former head of Al-Qaeda in Iraq and the spiritual father of Daesh/ISIS/ISIL.

Also right on clue, a full narrative was ready for mass consumption. According to French police “experts,” this could be an attack “ordered from abroad and executed by jihadists coming back from Syria that have escaped us,” or it could be “suburban idiots that radicalized themselves and concocted this military attack in the name of Al-Qaeda.”

Scrap option two, please; this was a pro job. And staying with option one, this points right at – what else – blowback. Yes, they could be Daesh/ISIS/ISIL mercenaries trained by NATO (crucially, France included) in Turkey and/or Jordan. But it might get even false-flag nastier. They could also be former or current French special forces.

Blast Islam, will travel
Predictably, Islamofascism peddlers are already having a field day/week/month/year. For simpletons/trolls/hordes exhibiting an IQ worthy of sub-zoology, when in doubt, demonize Islam. It’s so convenient to forget that untold millions from Pakistan’s tribal areas, to street markets across Iraq, continue to feel pain devastating their hearts and lives as they are expendable victims of the jihadist mindset – or “kalashnikov culture”, as it is known in Pakistan – which has been profiting the West directly or indirectly, for decades now. Think ritual droning of Pakistani, Yemeni, Syrian, Iraqi or Libyan civilians. Think Sadr City witnessing carnage 10 times worse than Paris.

What French President Francois Hollande defined as “an act of exceptional barbarism” – and it is – does not apply when the West, France in the front line, from King Sarko to General Hollande himself, weaponizes, trains and remote-controls assorted mercenaries/beheaders from Libya to Syria. Oh yeah, killing civilians in Tripoli or Aleppo is perfectly alright, but don’t do that in Paris.

So this, in the heart of Europe, is what blowback feels like. This is what people feel in the Waziristans when a wedding party is incinerated by a Hellfire missile. In parallel, it’s absolutely impossible to credit that the sophisticated Western intel network had not seen blowback coming – and was impotent to prevent it. Continue reading

Nasrallah from the Beqaa: We are continuing in the confrontation

The Secretary General of Hezbollah, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah emphasized «our decision is confrontation» of the Takfiris and terrorists, no matter how big the confrontation gets and how great the pressures.

Nasrallah’s words came at a special meeting held recently with the officers and soldiers of the resistance. It is noteworthy that the meeting was held in the Beqaa region, in light of the escalation of attacks by terrorists on the highlands of a number of towns in the Beqaa, and the towns in the highlands of the mountains Qalamoun seeking to open a passageway which ensures them to interconnect with the area of Zabadani, or any of the towns in the Qalamoun area for the supply of food and fuel on the beginning of winter which began early.

Nasrallah transitioned to the Beqaa, despite the risks and his security conditions, there are several messages, including his emphasis on the planning to continue the confrontation of Takfiris on the highlands, and lifting the state of readiness, and absorption of the repercussions of the attacks by terrorist Takfiris recently, which led to the fall of a number of martyrs, and the boost of morale in the ranks of the fighters.

Nasrallah stressed in the meeting that «the battle of Qalamoun is a will of fight» and «we will undertake this battle and we cannot break after the dependence on God this battle». He stressed that «there is no place for the surrender to this enemy» the Takfiri, stressing that «the sacrifices of our martyrs and the pain of our wounded will bloom a great victory», because «pressures generate opportunities and successes. This is what led to the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran, and to the defeat of the Israeli occupation of Lebanon ».

And on the operation of Shebaa which the Resistance announced and claimed responsibility for its implementation last week, the Secretary General of Hezbollah said that the operation «is a message to whom it may concern that the resistance, despite the changes in the region and the advent alliance of the media against Daesh, is still strong and present and did not weaken». He added that the breach done by the Israeli enemy at the beginning of last September with the bombing in the town of Adloun of the South, of the spying device which was discovered by the resistance, «and its deliberate bombing of the device during its dismantling» which led to the martyrdom of the resistor Hassan Ali Haider, «indicates that Israel wanted to test the resistance, and the response was with the bombing in the Shebaa », which led to according to an Israeli military source , the injury of two soldiers.

This US Task Force will be allowed for military intervention in Algeria, where the signs of a near Chaos are in place, especially in the southern areas, in view of the next presidential elections in which president Abdelaziz Bouteflika is seeking a fourth mandate.

As per London “Al Quds Arabi” newspaper which revealed the information, the Spanish government decision to authorize the US move of military forces in Spain was taken unusually suddainly.

Actually it took only a few days for Mariano Rajoy to give his OK to Washington to arrange their military move, which is a sign of the emergency of the situation. Algeria is in great danger, regime could collapse any moment.

The same source indicated that the priority of the 500 Marines will be to enforce the safety of the American citizens and of the US Embassy personnel and to cover their repatriation from the country.

BRUCE RIEDEL : WE ARE CLOSE TO A POPULAR REVOLUTION IN ALGERIA.

Bruce Riedel
Bruce Riedel former american presidential advisor, who served under 4 Administrations, has foreseen the explosion of a popular revolution in Algeria that would put an End to the military dictatorship.

In december 2012 during a conference given at the ElCano Royal Institute of Madrid, Bruce Riedel, a recognized expert on terrorism and Middle East policy declared : “Algeria is suffering from a police state. Its civil Society is kept under lock, and you can expect no improvement from the regime in place.

“The very similar social conditions that leaded to a popular revolution in Egypt are now in place in Algeria, a constant demographic pressure, despaired youths with no future, and lack of democracy.”

Bruce Riedel warned that “buying social peace of the people with billions of US dollars will have no effect in a near future.”

He concluded that the process has started and that the general popular uprising will come soon.

His conference was given in December 2012. We are in April 2013, and his predictions were true. The uprising has started in Kabylie region where the fierce repression and the human rights abuses by the regime only lighten the fire of the rebellion.

Oil and Gas find offshore Syria motive for US Israeli mercenary uprising and bloodshed in Syria

US GEOPOLITICAL TERRORISM PLATFORM

US GEOPOLITICAL TERRORISM PLATFORM

Why are US Israeli mercenaries in Syria?  Same reason why the US illegally attacked Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya and Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian civilian population   – oil and gas.  The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the Levant Basin, which covers Israel, Syria, Lebanon, Cyprus and Palestine, contains around 122 trillion cubic feet of gas and at least 1.7 billion barrels of oil.

The Israeli government plans to build a floating liquefied natural gas terminal with a sea-based defense radar system off its Mediterranean coast while forming a naval force to protect what it claims is its rich offshore gas fields. However, Syria, Lebanon, Cyprus and Palestine all have Levant Basin oil and gas rights.

Israel sent its Mossad and their foreign mercenaries into Syria to help the US and its mercenaries start a bloody uprising to take from Syria its oil and gas rights in the Levant Basin. Israel attacked Palestine and is grabbing land from them to deny them their oil and gas rights in the Levant Basin. The people of Palestine are being slaughtered to extinction (genocide) because of the oil and gas in the Levant Basin.

Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said that Israel is “ignoring the fact that according to the maps the deposit extends into Lebanese waters,”  Lebanese Energy Minister Gebran Bassil said June 17 his country “will not allow Israel or any company working for Israeli interests to take any amount of our gas that is falling in our zone.” He said Noble was warned not to work close to Lebanon’s economic zone. Struggle over the Middle East: Gas Ranks First

[ Editor’s note: This article is also available in FrenchItalianArabicGermanRussianSpanish ]

by Imad Fawzi Shueibi (April 17th 2012)

The media and military attack against Syria is directly related to the global competition for energy, as explained by Professor Imad Shuebi in this masterful article. At a time when the euro area threatens to collapse, where an acute economic crisis has led the U.S. into a debt of up to 14 940 billion, and where their influence is dwindling in the face of the emerging BRICS powers, it becomes clear that the key to economic success and political domination lies mainly in the control of the energy source of the century: gas. It is because she is at the heart of the most colossal gas reserves in the world that Syria is being targeted. The wars of the last century were fought for oil, but a new era has dawned, that of wars for gas.

After the fall of the Soviet Union, Russians began to feel that the struggle for armament has exhausted them, especially in the absence of the necessary energy sources needed by any industrial country. The American presence in the oil zones for some decades enabled them to grow and have control over the international political decision without much struggle. Therefore, the Russians turned towards energy sources, be them oil or gas. Since the international apportionment does not bear much competition in oil sectors, Moscow sought to manipulate gas in the areas of gas production, transporting or marketing on a large scale.

The starting point was in 1995 when Putin set the strategy of Gasprom Co. to move within the area in which gas exists starting from Russia through Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Iran (for marketing) and the Middle East. Certainly, the projects of the Nord Stream and South Stream will be a historical order of merit/insignia given to Vladimir Putin for his efforts in bringing Russia back to the International arena and for tightening the grip on the European economy which will depend, for decades, on gas as an alternative for oil or depend on gas as well as oil, yet with prioritizing the first; i.e., gas. At this point, it was a must for Washington to hasten to create its peer project; Nabucco, to compete against the Russian project as to gain an international apportionment on the basis of which the next century will be politically and strategically determined.
