The Clandestine Reasons for ISIS Taking Over Iraq

NATO_Meeting_Wide

By Brandon Turbeville, ActivistPost

Recent news of the rapid advance of the Islamic Fundamentalist organization ISIS across a wide swath of Iraq may indeed have come as a shock to a large number of Americans. Indeed, to the general public who pay very little attention to the affairs of other countries or even their own, the fact that the ISIS now controls a large portion of Iraq as well as a portion of Syria not only conjures up images of American foreign policy failure but also of the possibility of re-invading Iraq in order to quell the fundamentalist forces.

The irony, of course, is that “al-Qaeda” and ISIS would never have been in Iraq to begin with had it not been for the United States nor would it have been in Syria if it were not for the fact that the United States, NATO, and the West in general organized, funded, trained, armed, and directed it.

Unfortunately, the Orwellian nature of the manner in which the “news” is presented to the American public almost absolves them of the blame for being utterly confused at the events transpiring overseas. From the constant fearmongering and propaganda after 9/11 over the dangers posed by Islamic terrorists to our “freedoms” to the subsequent open funding of al-Qaeda in other countries, the American people are constantly bounced back and forth between fear and support of the terrorist organization and networks now in control of such large portions of land in the Middle East.

Thirteen years after 9/11, extremists have gained more power in the region than they ever had before the “Global War On Terror” began. The only question is why they were allowed to seize so much territory, particularly inside a country that was seemingly so important to the United States.

Before going any further, it should be pointed out that any suggestion that the resurgence of ISIS and the march across Iraq caught the Western intelligence apparatus by surprise is entirely ludicrous. As Tony Cartalucci points out in his article, “NATO’s Terror Hordes In Iraq A Pretext For Syria Invasion,”

All roads lead to Baghdad and the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) is following them all, north from Syria and Turkey to south. Reading Western headlines, two fact-deficient narratives have begun gaining traction. The first is that this constitutes a “failure” of US policy in the Middle East, an alibi as to how the US and its NATO partners should in no way be seen as complicit in the current coordinated, massive, immensely funded and heavily armed terror blitzkrieg toward Baghdad. The second is how ISIS appears to have “sprung” from the sand dunes and date trees as a nearly professional military traveling in convoys of matching Toyota trucks without explanation.

Of course, it is equally ludicrous to suggest that the only options available to the United States are reinvasion or allowing Iraq to fall to terrorist savages. There is indeed a third way out of the tragedy that has befallen the Iraqi people which lies within the very nature of ISIS. As Tony Cartalucci writes,

In actuality, ISIS is the product of a joint NATO-GCC [Gulf Cooperation Council] conspiracy stretching back as far as 2007 where US-Saudi policymakers sought to ignite a region-wide sectarian war to purge the Middle East of Iran’s arch of influence stretching from its borders, across Syria and Iraq, and as far west as Lebanon and the coast of the Mediterranean. ISIS has been harbored, trained, armed, and extensively funded by a coalition of NATO and Persian Gulf states within Turkey’s (NATO territory) borders and has launched invasions into northern Syria with, at times, both Turkish artillery and air cover. The most recent example of this was the cross-border invasion by Al Qaeda into Kasab village, Latikia province in northwest Syria.

Thus, with ISIS being a creation of NATO and the GCC, the most realistic solution – if the United States was truly interested in stopping the progression of the terrorist organization and rolling back its recent gains – would be to stop funding and supporting it.

Chavez calls on Obama to stop US hegemonic policies

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez (file photo)

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez has called on his US counterpart Barack Obama to put an end to Washington’s policy of “invading” and “destabilizing” other countries.

Speaking at a Thursday meeting with his cabinet ministers at the Presidential Palace in Caracas, Chavez pointed out that Obama should “forget about invading other nations, destabilizing countries, etc.”

He described the US as socially and economically “fractured” and called on Obama to focus on “governing his own country” instead.

Chavez, who was making the remarks in reaction to Obama’s reelection, said the American “super elite” exploits the rest of the US and manipulates it “through the media.”

During the US presidential campaigns, Chavez said he did not expect either Obama or his Republican rival Mitt Romney to make any change in the relations between the US, Latin America, Venezuela and the rest of the world.

The Venezuelan president has repeatedly challenged the US foreign policy since he took office in 1999. Continue reading

Sleeping With the Devil: How U.S. and Saudi Backing of (created) Al Qaeda Led to 9/11

reaganandmujahideen1 Sleeping With the Devil: How U.S. and Saudi Backing of Al Qaeda Led to 9/11

Ronald Reagan meets Afghan Mujahideen Commanders at the White House in 1985 (Reagan Archives)

Preface:   The director of the National Security Agency under Ronald Reagan – Lt. General William Odom – noted:

Because the United States itself has a long record of supporting terrorists and using terrorist tactics, the slogans of today’s war on terrorism merely makes the United States look hypocritical to the rest of the world.

Odom also said:

By any measure the US has long used terrorism. In ‘78-79 the Senate was trying to pass a law against international terrorism – in every version they produced, the lawyers said the US would be in violation.

(audio here).  Background here.

This essay does not address any “inside job” theories for 9/11 or other terrorist attacks on America.  Instead, it focuses on the well-documented fact that the virtually continuous U.S. backing of Al Qaeda terrorists since the late 1970s has led to blowback which has come back to bite us numerous times.

We Created Al Qaeda to Fight the Soviets in Afghanistan

Jimmy Carter’s National Security Adviser Zbigniew Brzezinski admitted on CNN that the U.S. organized and supported Bin Laden and the other originators of “Al Qaeda” in the 1970s to fight the Soviets.

Brzezinski told Al Qaeda’s forefathers – the Mujahadin:

We know of their deep belief in god – that they’re confident that their struggle will succeed. That land over – there is yours – and you’ll go back to it some day, because your fight will prevail, and you’ll have your homes, your mosques, back again, because your cause is right, and god is on your side.

CIA director and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates confirmedin his memoir that the U.S. backed the Mujahadin in the 1970s.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton agrees:

MSNBC reportedin 1998:

As his unclassified CIA biography states, bin Laden left Saudi Arabia to fight the Soviet army in Afghanistan after Moscow’s invasion in 1979. By 1984, he was running a front organization known as Maktab al-Khidamar – the MAK – which funneled money, arms and fighters from the outside world into the Afghan war.

What the CIA bio conveniently fails to specify (in its unclassified form, at least) is that the MAK was nurtured by Pakistan’s state security services, the Inter-Services Intelligence agency, or ISI, the CIA’s primary conduit for conducting the covert war against Moscow’s occupation.

Obama War Machine Announces Invasion of Syria

CNN reports this afternoon that the Pentagon has finalized plans to attack Syria and forcefully depose its leader, Bashar al-Assad, under the cover of securing weapons of mass destruction and preventing “sectarian violence” it has fomented by supporting and training the Free Syrian Army.

“The U.S. military has completed its own planning for how American troops would conduct a variety of operations against Syria, or to assist neighboring countries in the event action was ordered, officials tell CNN.”

CNN says the Pentagon has “finalized its assessment of what types of units would be needed, how many troops, and even the cost of certain potential operations.”

“There is a sense that if the sectarian violence in Syria grows, it could be worse than what we saw in Iraq,” an unnamed Obama administration official told CNN.

The attack plan is similar to the one used against Libya:

US Ambassador In Veiled Terror Threat to Syria’s Assad

US Ambassador to the United Nations Susan Rice reacted to yesterday’s deadly bombings in Damascus by issuing a chilling and thinly veiled threat that NATO-backed terrorists would carry out more attacks unless President Bashar al-Assad stepped down.

US Ambassador In Veiled Terror Threat to Syrias Assad u8 Susan Rice

By Paul Joseph Watson, PrisonPlanet.com

Following the attacks, which targeted the Military Intelligence Centre and killed mostly Syrian security force members, Rice seized upon the carnage to proclaim, “The longer Assad clings to power, the greater the risk of destabilization in Syria and throughout the region.”

Although Rice’s words were subtle in tone, the message she sent to Assad was clear – relinquish power or the terror attacks will continue.

Instead of condemning the bombings, Rice actually hinted that more would take place until the NATO powers had achieved their political agenda of regime change.

In a subsequent tweet she added, “Bombings also remind us of the urgent need for a political solution in Syria before it is too late.”

And just what is that “political solution”? According to Rice herself in a statement made hours before the attacks, the solution is “Increasing the pressure on the Assad regime and on Assad himself to step down.”

So effectively, Rice all but lauded the bombings as a tool to dispense with the UN cease fire and accelerate the “political solution” for NATO – the mission to topple Assad.

Rice’s complete failure to condemn the horrific attacks and her subtle gesture of actually using them to threaten more attacks on the Syrian government is abhorrent. Far from behaving likes a stateswoman, Rice’s rhetoric has more in common with Osama Bin Laden.

NATO Invasion Of Syria Set For This Month?

NATO powers arm Al-Qaeda in pursuit of regime change

By Paul Joseph Watson at Infowars.com

20120306-045516.jpg

NATO member Turkey is arming Al-Qaeda and other terrorist groups as part of the international community’s efforts to help Syrian rebels overthrow President Bashar al-Assad, with a possible military invasion set for March, almost exactly a year after a virtually identical assault on Libya that was also achieved with the aid of Al-Qaeda terrorists.

Egyptian security officials told World Net Daily that, “Turkey has been arming al-Qaida and its affiliated group, Jihadiya Salafia, as part of efforts to support the so-called rebels in Syria.”

The officials also revealed that arms and training for the rebels is being provided by the United States, Saudi Arabia and Jordan, dovetailing with
former FBI translator Sibel Edmonds’ report
that hundreds of NATO and US troops arrived on the Jordanian and Syrian border back in December for the purpose of training militants to overthrow President Bashar al-Assad.

“Several knowledgeable Egyptian and Arab security officials claimed the U.S., Turkey and Jordan were running a training base for the Syrian rebels in the Jordanian town of Safawi in the country’s northern desert region,” states the WND report.

A March NATO bombardment of Syria, euphemistically termed a “no fly zone” by the mainstream media, would mirror almost precisely the timing and circumstances of the attack on Libya a year ago, which first came under assault on March 19, 2011, after NATO powers had spent weeks arming and directing Al-Qaeda-affiliated rebels.

“According to the Middle Eastern diplomatic and security officials speaking to WND, the international community is considering launching NATO air strikes on Assad’s forces as soon as this month if the opposition does not make major strides toward ending Assad’s regime,” states the report.

Turkey’s involvement in arming terrorist groups to aid rebel fighters follows reports that France and the United States have provided the Free Syria Army with weapons and anti-aircraft missiles.

As we reported last week, during a BBC interview U.S. Secretary of State admitted that the United States and Al-Qaeda were on the same side when it came to achieving regime change in Syria.

Just as in Libya, where the overthrow of Gaddafi was achieved through the use of Al-Qaeda groups, NATO and the United States are once again turning to terrorists as a means of achieving their geopolitical objectives in the region.

Like for Iraq War 1: Regime change PR hits high gear: Syria’s ‘newborn baby slaughter’ propaganda

By Patrick Henningsen At infowars.com

We can already see exact parallels with the current PR operation to bring down Syria with how Libya went down. In one case, published today, it seems that an award-winning newspaper have been caught red-handed running faux news on Syria – and incredibly, it’s not the first time this exact story has been used.

This morning, reporter Alastair Beach of The Independent newspaper based in London, cited “evidence” that Syrian President Assad’s security forces have indiscriminately killed scores of newborn babies in Homs this week, as his featured article states:

“Bashar al-Assad’s bloody siege of Homs intensified yesterday as clear evidence emerged that his indiscriminate shelling of the restive town had started claiming innocent victims, including at least 18 premature babies and three entire families. The evidence came as civilians in the besieged city endured a fifth day of incessant shellfire – the worst yet, according to eyewitnesses – with dozens of other people being killed as the brutal assault continued.”

Writer Beach’s source for his claims seem to originate from only one organization, not in Syria – but in London. Surprisingly, the Independent’s chief source for the alleged horrors in question is a nearly invisible organization known as the ”Syrian Observatory for Human Rights(SOHR), who claim to have an office based in London, but apparently have no address or contact phone number listed – only and email address. Even murkier however, is that fact that there are no names associated with the SOHR on their website, and many of its articles have been written under the fictitious pen name known as Rami Abdul Rahman“.

It’s likely that “Rami Abdul Rahman” is in fact one Rami Abdelrahman, depicted in other online press coverage as head of the SOHR although he is not listed as a contact person on the organization’s website, and is reported to have met with Britain’s Foreign Secretary,William Hague at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office on November 21, 2011.

One can only conclude that with no names or contact information, the SOHR is – by definition – a very well-hidden, clandestine lobbying organization, and in this case, it appears to be lobbying for regime change in Syria, from inside Britain’s Foreign Office.

Before regime change in Tripoli, the US, France and Britain relied on the likes of Soliman Bouchuiguir, the former Libyan League for Human Rights president with ties to NATO’s National Transitional Council (NTC), helped to generate numerous lies needed by the west to justify NATO’s now famously titled “humanitarian intervention” – allegedly to protect Libyans.  This human rights impostor – like his present day Syrian counterpart Rami Abdelrahman who may very well have ties to the Paris-based rebel coalition known as Syrian National Council (SNC), made then Colonel Moumar Gaddafi a targeted by spreading lies alleged state crimes, but with with no evidence, as outlined in documents released last October by the publication Voltaire. Syria’s President Assad is currently undergoing the exact same treatment, and in the exact same manner.

Babies in incubators: a recycled media hoax

Amazingly, this exact same story was also making the rounds recently in August of 2011, when a similar claim was busy circulating online through various social networks including Twitter in Arabic – the same tale of premature babies who died in their incubators when Syrian forces cut off electricity to hospitals during their assault on the city of Hama.

Even though it admits that it could not independently verify the account, CNN still went and ran with the SOHR rumor, broadcasting: ”Rights Group: 8 babies die after power cut to Syrian hospital“.

Electronic Infidada reported on the August 2011 recent hoax: “Evidence suggests it is a cruel hoax, and the pictures of the “dead babies” widely circulated online are false.” They outlined parallels between the August faux story as past regime change PR campaigns:

“URGENT – Syria | The electricity was cut today from the city of Hama, and the outage included the hospitals. Following this, the Shabiha [state militia] deliberately destroyed the electricity generators in the hospitals which led to the deaths of all the premature babies (more than 40 in a single hospital).”

To me the story was immediately suspicious. First of all it sounded too much like the false reports of invading Iraqi troops throwing babies out of incubators in Kuwait in August 1990 — reports that were used to build public support and urgency for the 1991 Gulf War. These claims were part of an elaborate propaganda effort by the Washington PR consultancy Hill & Knowlton hired by the Kuwaiti government.

The fact that an award-winning newspaper like the UK’s Independent would use such a shadowy outfit to support one of its most shocking headlined stories on the crisis in Syria – is also surprising in itself. The biggest problem with both seperate accounts of dying babies in incubators – put forward by the SOHR and circulated in the corporate media by the likes of  The Independent and CNN, is that at no point along the line, has the SOHR been held accountable for what are patently unsubstantiated claims.

Lobbying groups and their governments in-exile are traditionally the source of anti-regime “heart-string” reports which have in the past have been passed on for broadcast by major media outlets, which naturally follows with favoring pre-emptive military strike, or as recently seen with Libya – a ‘humanitarian intervention’.

The illusion of unspeakable atrocities is of paramount concern in both the US and in Europe because convincing the Left-leaning elements of the public and in government brings with it a green light for any military intervention.

consumers of the press in the west are likely to be force fed- yet again, another endless diet of false claims designed to sway public opinion in favor of military action by NATO or NATO-backed allies in Syria, and later in Iran.

Journalist Tony Cartalucci reported back in December regarding the clandestine activities of SOHR, adding:

It is quite clear that the “Syrian Observatory for Human Rights” based in London and receiving the entirety of their reports via “phone” & YouTube videos from Syria, is working in coordination with both US-funded NGOs and the British Foreign Minister. Considering that Hague similarly coddled Libyan opposition leaders in London while playing a key role in promoting the NATO attack on Libya and the subsequent installation of a BP oilman as “prime minister,” Abdelrahman’s consorting signifies a verbatim repeat of the now openly fraudulent and genocidal NATO campaign in Libya.

Just as in Libya, where “human rights activists” have now admitted to fabricating the evidence used by the International Criminal Court and the United Nations to rubber stamp Wall Street and London’s designs for regime change, likewise the “evidence” from Syria has turned out to be a complete fraud, derived by opposition “witnesses” and compiled by a corporate D.C. think-tank director into a UN “human rights report.”

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights serves as the exclusive source of “reports” coming out of Syria despite the fact that it is actually, entirely based in London. While it is verified that the NGOs it works in tandem with are US-funded, the Observatory itself fails to publish where its money comes from or the backgrounds of those that constitute its membership. We then, are expected to simply believe on face value a mysterious organization whose head meets with the British government and their unverified “witness accounts” as evidence to initiate military intervention at the cost of potentially millions of lives.

The UN based the whole premise for its Security Council Resolution 1973 for Libya on reports from western-backed Libyan rebels. Their wild claims included – unbelievably and highly reported by the western media – that Gaddafi lead jet attacks on his own people, and killed more than 6000 unarmed protester cum civilians. This jet claim was needed in order to get a No Fly Zone included in resolution 1973.

During the run-up to their vote on the matter, it is clear now that absolutely no due diligence was carried out by any of the UN member states, which stands to reason that the whole UN affair form beginning to end, was planned and executed as a political decision – hardly a humanitarian concern.

We can see how the corporate media will knowingly run sensationalist, unverified accounts of human rights accounts in countries like Libya and Syria, but what about out elected leaders? Will they too run with these same wild claims in order to make their public case for war? No doubt. Members of the NATO governments have also been assigned their roles in making intervention possible. Britain’s William Hague seems to be running point on the PR campaign for regime change in Syria. Following Russia and China’s veto of the UN’s recent revolution for action in Syria, Hague condemned the decision – and used wild, unverified statistics most likely gleaned from his friend at the SOHR, as reported by the Guardian:

“More than 2,000 people have died since Russia and China vetoed the last draft resolution in October 2011,” he said after the vote. “How many more need to die before Russia and China allow the UN security council to act?”

Here we are again, at another crossroads, so soon after the last one. And like clockwork, the same patterns are emerging to sway western public opinion, this time against President Assad and his Syrian government.

Infowars.com have already attempted to contact SOHR via their email address, in order to receive further clarification as to the source of their recent claims that Assad’s security forces are responsible for the death of 18 newborn babies, but have yet to receive any response from the London-based organization.

US Invading Syria by Proxy

By Tony Cartalucci

US “prepares military options” to back terrorists in Syria.

February 9, 2012 – After world opinion categorically denied Wall Street, London, and it’s NATO forces a replay in Syria of the destruction and pillaging of Libya, with Russia and China leading opposition to a planned escalation and overt NATO military intervention, the corporate-financier media led by CNN, and in particular CIA-asset Anderson Cooper, has conducted a non-stop propaganda campaign based entirely on “activist” say so centered around the Syrian city of Homs. Journalistic integrity and neutrality have been shamelessly abandoned, evident by CNN headlines reading, “Ruthless Assad rides wave of slaughter.”

Every claim is punctuated by “activists say,” with passionate pleas for NATO to rain Libya-style death and destruction upon Syria from alleged “activists” on the phone with CNN’s Anderson Cooper, “activists” who could just as easily be in the adjacent room at CNN’s studio or in London, as in Homs – since CNN and other corporate-media outlets have categorically failed to provide substantial, verified evidence of their most recent narrative. It is a narrative to dupe the West once again into what is essentially naked military conquest operating behind the tenuous fig leaf of “responsibility to protect” (R2P).

But even at face value, CNN reports “clashes” and features video footage of armed militants waving the “Free Syrian Army” flag while operating armored vehicles and brandishing weapons of war. One could scarcely imagine any Western nation faced with similarly armed militants terrorizing their city streets not responding with full military force, especially with recent historical examples such as the siege in Waco, Texas where US government forces ruthlessly killed 76 including over 20 children for much lesser crimes than sedition, treason, and openly declared foreign-backed armed-insurrection.

In fact, all the Davidians of Waco, Texas were convicted of were possessing “illegal weapons” and using them when attacked by armed federal agents – a far cry form the “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) who not only possesses weapons of war, but is demonstratively using them to terrorize and violently overthrow the sovereign government of Syria and forcibly seize populated districts. This includes FSA ultimatums immediately followed up by bombs tearing through civilians in the Syrian capital of Damascus and offensive attacks on security forces.

While the deceit and criminality of NATO’s feigned humanitarian campaign in Libya is still fresh in the mind of world opinion, the global corporate-financier elite, paraded round-the-clock on CNN (globalist warmonger Ann-Marie Slaughter being the most paraded), attempt to compare events in Syria instead with “Kosovo,” an intervention NATO hopes many are unfamiliar with and will just take their word when it is suggested that it was both “justified” and a “success.”

However, just like in Libya, the corporate-financiers peddling this war are not pursuing a humanitarian agenda, quite the contrary. They are fully arming, supporting, harboring, financing, and directing listed foreign terrorist organizations inside Syria to conduct an invasion by proxy. In fact, it is confirmed that the very same Libya Islamic Fighting Group (LIFG), on record having killed US troops in both Iraq and Afghanistan before returning to Libya to receive full UN, US, and NATO backing to overthrow Qaddafi, are now on the border of Syria operating under the auspices of NATO members including Turkey.

Now, open calls by the same familiar “elected” US representatives such as John McCain and Joe Lieberman, are being made to side-step the global corporate-financier’s own contrived international institutions, including the UN Security Council, and unilaterally meddle in Syria’s internal conflict well established to have been triggered by foreign-funded “opposition” groups in the first place, by overtly arming and backing a proxy army in Syria.

Just as in Libya, Wall Street and London with or without a UN resolution plan to fully fund, arm, back, and support, first covertly, then overtly with military force a mixture of domestic traitors in Syria’s US-funded opposition and foreign mercenaries like Libya’s LIFG terror organization to invade and overthrow the government of Syria. This will be done at any cost, just as in Libya, international law will be selectively enforced by the facade that is the UN, just as was done in Libya, until either the West is tactically defeated, or overwhelmed by growing international awareness and anger over the “R2P” racket.

Outside ‘Armed Entity’ Now Operating Inside Syria

By Michel Chossudovsky

20120205-181527.jpg

Russia and China have vetoed the UN Security Council draft resolution on Syria pointing to the existence of armed groups involved in terrorist acts including the killing of civilians.

These armed groups have been involved since the outset of the “protest movement” in Daraa, southern Syria, in March 2011.

The statement of Russia’s envoy to the UN Viktor Churkin remains within the realm of international diplomacy. It does not mention who is behind these armed groups and the fact that NATO is supporting an armed insurrection.

“Churkin said that resolution’s Western co-sponsors had not included key proposals such as isolating the Syrian opposition from violent extremist groups or a call to arms for other states to use their influence to prevent such alliances”. (Russia Today, February 4, 2012)

Ironically, Russia’s decision to veto the resolution is consistent with the report of the Arab League’s Observer Mission to Syria, which confirms the existence of an “Armed Entity”.

Unexpectedly, however, neither Washington nor the Arab League, which commissioned the Observer Mission to Syria in the first place, have accepted the interim report presented by the AL Mission.

Why? Because the Mission –integrated by independent observers from Arab League countries– provides a balanced and objective assessment of what is happening on the ground inside Syria. It does not serve as a mouthpiece for Washington and the governments of Arab states.

It points to the existence of an “Armed Entity”; it acknowledges that “armed opposition groups” including the Syria Free Army are involved in criminal and terrorist acts.

“In some zones, this armed entity reacted by attacking Syrian security forces and citizens, causing the Government to respond with further violence. In the end, innocent citizens pay the price for those actions with life and limb.

“In Homs, Idlib and Hama, the Observer Mission witnessed acts of violence being committed against Government forces and civilians that resulted in several deaths and injuries. Examples of those acts include the bombing of a civilian bus, killing eight persons and injuring others, including women and children, and the bombing of a train carrying diesel oil. In another incident in Homs, a police bus was blown up, killing two police officers. A fuel pipeline and some small bridges were also bombed. “

“Such incidents include the bombing of buildings, trains carrying fuel, vehicles carrying diesel oil and explosions targeting the police, members of the media and fuel pipelines. Some of those attacks have been carried out by the Free Syrian Army and some by other armed opposition groups.”

While the Mission does not identify the foreign powers behind “the armed entity”, its report dispels the mainstream media lies and fabrications, used by Washington to push for “regime change” in Syria.

The AL Mission report also intimates that political pressure was exerted by officials of Arab League states to unreservedly support Washington’s political stance.

Moreover, the Mission was also pressured into upholding the lies and fabrications of the mainstream media, which have been used to demonize the government of Bashar al Assad:

“Some observers reneged on their duties and broke the oath they had taken. They made contact with officials from their countries and gave them exaggerated accounts of events. Those officials consequently developed a bleak and unfounded picture of the situation.”

Massive U.S. Military Buildup Reported Around Iran; Up to 100,000 Troops Ready By March

By Marc Slavo at SHTFPlan for Infowars.com

While President Obama’s supporters hailed his withdrawal of U.S. troops from Iraq as the end of the war in the middle east, behind the scenes the Pentagon has been quietly massing troops and armaments on two islands located just south of the Strait of Hormuz, and within easy striking distance of Iran.

In addition to some 50,000 U.S. troops currently in the region waiting for orders (apparently they won’t be home by this past Christmas as was originally promised), Nobel Peace Prize winner President Barack Obama is deploying an additional 50,000 soldiers to be ready for ‘any contingency’ by March:

President Barack Obama is reported exclusively by DEBKA-Net-Weekly’s military and Washington sources to have secretly ordered US air, naval and marine forces to build up heavy concentrations on two strategic islands –Socotra, which is part of a Yemeni archipelago in the Indian Ocean, and the Omani island of Masirah at the southern exit of the Strait of Hormuz.

Since 2010, the US has been quietly building giant air force and naval bases on Socotra with facilities for submarines, intelligence command centers and take-off pads for flying stealth drones, as part of a linked chain of strategic US military facilities in the Indian Ocean and Persian Gulf.

The Socotra facilities are so secret that they are never mentioned in any catalogue listing US military facilities in this part of the world, which include Jebel Ali and Al Dahfra in the United Arab Emirates; Arifjan in Kuwait; and Al Udeid in Qatar – all within short flying distances from Iran.

Additional US forces are also being poured into Camp Justice on the barren, 70-kilometer long Omani island of Masirah, just south of the Hormuz entry point to the Gulf of Oman from the Arabian Sea.

Western military sources familiar with the American buildup on the two strategic islands tell DEBKA-Net-Weekly that, although they cannot cite precise figures, they are witnessing the heaviest American concentration of might in the region since the US invaded Iraq in 2003.

Then, 100,000 American troops were massed in Kuwait ahead of the invasion. Today, those sources estimate from the current pace of arrivals on the two island bases, that 50,000 US troops will have accumulated on Socotra and Masirah by mid-February. They will top up the 50,000 military already present in the Persian Gulf region, so that in less than a month, Washington will have some 100,000 military personnel on the spot and available for any contingency.

US air transports are described as making almost daily landings on Socotra and Masirah. They fly in from the US naval base of Diego Garcia, one of America’s biggest military facilities, just over 3,000 kilometers away. The US military presence in the region will further expand in the first week of March when three US aircraft carriers and their strike groups plus a French carrier arrive in the Persian Gulf, the Gulf of Oman and the Arabian Sea: They are theUSS Abraham Lincoln, USS Carl Vinson, USS Enterprise and the Charles de Gaulle nuclear-powered aircraft carrier.

A fourth US carrier will be standing by in the Pacific Ocean, a few days’ sailing time from the water off Iran’s coast.

Still holding out hope that we won’t go to war with Iran?

There’s already reason enough for the powers-to-be to invade Iran based on the accusations that they are in the process of manufacturing nuclear weapons. Whether true or not makes no difference, as we saw with weapons of mass destruction that have yet to be found in Iraq.

Similarly, like Saddam Hussein before them, Iran’s leadership is attempting to trade their oil without going through the proper channels – in essence attempting to bypass the United States and Europe by striking deals with China, India, and Russia that will not require the exchange of oil for US dollars, but rather, Yuan, Rupees and Gold.

It may very well be that nuclear weapons, like WMD in Iraq, are simply the pretext, rather than the real reason, that will be used to crush those who oppose the financiers, politicians and influencers behind the new world order paradigm.

Make no mistake: this is serious business. They will kill as many as is needed (on our side and theirs) in order to push the agenda forward.

This is what happens when you mess with the men behind the curtains:
