Hezbollah Secretary-General Seyyed Hassan Nasrallah says the Lebanese resistance movement will defend the country against any possible attack by israel.

“I warn israelis, resistance will not be silent in case of aggression,” Nasrallah said Saturday during a speech marking the anniversary of martyred Hezbollah figures.

Nasrallah denied speculation that Hezbollah has become weak and said the resistance movement is prepared more than ever.

“Lebanon’s resistance movement is fully prepared and ready,” he added.

Elsewhere in his remarks, the Hezbollah secretary-general also stressed that resistance is the only choice for Palestinians in their struggle against Israeli occupation.

“israel is the greatest danger for Palestine and the region,” Nasrallah added.

He said Hezbollah would continue to support Palestinians in order for them to achieve their rights.

The israeli military frequently carries out airstrikes and other attacks on the Gaza Strip, saying actions are being conducted for defensive purposes. However, in violation of international law, disproportionate force is always used and civilians are often killed or injured.

The attacks rage on while israel keeps up its crippling blockade on Gaza, which it imposed on the enclave in 2007. Continue reading

Iran Confirms Assassination of Official by Terrorists in Syria

TEHRAN (FNA)- The Iranian mission in Beirut on Thursday confirmed the assassination of Hassan Shateri, the head of the Iranian delegation in charge of developmental projects in Lebanon, by the terrorist groups in Syria.

The embassy said in a statement that Hassan Shateri was assassinated by terrorist groups in Syria while he was on his way back to Lebanon from the Syrian city of Aleppo.

Martyr Shateri who was in Aleppo to implement reconstruction and development projects in that city, was assassinated by Syrian terrorists while he was on his way to the Damascus airport to return to Lebanon, the Islamic republic news agency reported.

The Iranian development delegation headed by Martyr Shateri played a major role in reconstructing southern Lebanon after the Zionist regime’s 33-day war against the country in 2006.

Martyr Shateri was highly respected by the Lebanese people and officials.

The Lebanese newspaper al-Safir reported on Thursday that martyr Shateri was in Aleppo to study some reconstruction projects in parts of the Syrian city.

A ceremony is to be held for martyr Shateri in Iran’s Embassy in Beirut later on Thursday.

A deputy chief of staff of Iran’s Armed Forces says enemies of Syria have no option but to leave the crisis-stricken country.

“The fourth victory of [Islamic] resistance against arrogant and reactionary [governments] in the region has been achieved in the region and Syria will force its enemies to flee the country,” Brigadier General Massoud Jazayeri said on Monday.

Noting that the Islamic Republic will never allow the anti-Israel resistance movement to be weakened, Jazayeri said, “Countries depending on the United States should know that they would never be able to force the resistance to back down through terrorism and military actions.”

Jazayeri also stated that the usurper Zionist regime would have no way but to leave the occupied Palestinian territories.

“The final goal of enmity to Syrian government and nation, [Lebanon’s] Hezbollah and Palestine, is to break the [existing] siege of Israel,” he added.

Jazayeri warned that the US and Europe would not be immune to future damages which would be inflicted on them by “well-equipped and aimless terrorists.”

Syria has been experiencing unrest since mid-March 2011. Many people, including large numbers of security personnel, have been killed in the violence.  Continue reading

Breaking: New plans to invade Syria

France, the United Kingdom, Israel and Qatar have prepared yet another plan intervention in Syria. 6000 new jihadists, including 4000 from Lebanon, should attack shortly Mazzeh residential area, south of Damascus, home to many embassies and where several top military and civilian officials. An incident involving chemical weapons across the country should increase the tension. A traitorous general would then claim to have seized power and Westerners call for help, thus providing a pretext for military intervention outside the UN mandate.
Several attempts at military coup was orchestrated by the West during this year. All have failed and there is nothing to suggest that this would be different again.
Time is running out for states opposed to the Geneva peace plan reached between the U.S. and Russia, as it should be presented to the Security Council in February, which is just after the confirmation by the U.S. Senate of the new Obama administration. During the next two months, all possible moves will be tempted.
It is unclear what would be the reaction of Russia and Iran for such an operation. Vladimir Putin said to be ready to defend Syria “to the streets of Moscow,” that is to say, be ready to go to war. For its part, Iran has always affirmed that Syria was his defense and, therefore, she would not let go. All these statements may be a bluff, but triggering a military intervention, Paris, London, Tel Aviv and Doha take the risk of causing a general conflagration.

Oil and Gas find offshore Syria motive for US Israeli mercenary uprising and bloodshed in Syria

Why are US Israeli mercenaries in Syria?  Same reason why the US illegally attacked Afghanistan, Iraq, and Libya and Israel is committing genocide against the Palestinian civilian population   – oil and gas.  The U.S. Geological Survey reported that the Levant Basin, which covers Israel, Syria, Lebanon, Cyprus and Palestine, contains around 122 trillion cubic feet of gas and at least 1.7 billion barrels of oil.

The Israeli government plans to build a floating liquefied natural gas terminal with a sea-based defense radar system off its Mediterranean coast while forming a naval force to protect what it claims is its rich offshore gas fields. However, Syria, Lebanon, Cyprus and Palestine all have Levant Basin oil and gas rights.

Israel sent its Mossad and their foreign mercenaries into Syria to help the US and its mercenaries start a bloody uprising to take from Syria its oil and gas rights in the Levant Basin. Israel attacked Palestine and is grabbing land from them to deny them their oil and gas rights in the Levant Basin. The people of Palestine are being slaughtered to extinction (genocide) because of the oil and gas in the Levant Basin.

Lebanon’s Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri said that Israel is “ignoring the fact that according to the maps the deposit extends into Lebanese waters,”  Lebanese Energy Minister Gebran Bassil said June 17 his country “will not allow Israel or any company working for Israeli interests to take any amount of our gas that is falling in our zone.” He said Noble was warned not to work close to Lebanon’s economic zone. Several killed & injured in Southern Lebanon clashes

Armed clashes erupted in the Southern city of Sidon in Lebanon between supporters of the controversial Salafist Sheikh, Ahmad Al-Asir, and the Popular Nasserite Organization killing and injuring several people, including a Hezbollah official who was injured while attempting to calm the situation down.

As a result of the fatal clashes, Lebanese Prime Minister, “Muhammad Najib Miqati”, who condemned the sectarian violence was prompted to call for an urgent security meeting among South Lebanon’s Security Council and Lebanon’s Interior Minister.

The clashes first begun when the Salafist Sheikh had opposed the raising of banners related to “Martyrs’ Day”, a day which glorifies Lebanese martyrs who were killed by the Israeli war , and banners related to the shia community’s mourning of the Martyrdom of the Shia Imam, Imam Hosssein during Ashura- the 10th day of Muharram in the Islamic calendar.

Despite the resistance movement’s ordering the removal of the banners answering the call of Lebanon’s Interior Minister, “Marwan Charbel”, to contain the matter, the Salafist Sheikh led his heavily armed supporters in attempting to remove a resistance monument by force and attacked a neighborhood known to be inhabited by shia families.

Later in the afternoon, “Al-Asir’s”, supporters were reported to have attacked the widow of a former Lebanese MP and founder of the Popular Naserite Organization beating her bodyguard brutally. They were also reported to have held Lebanese officers at gunpoint in a separate occasion on the same day. In response, the Lebanese Army has cordoned off the Mosque in which Sheikh Al-Asir is known to be the Imam, declaring that it will fight back with fire against any armed attack.

Cautious calm amid heavy deployment of security forces and checkpoints at every corner are witnessed in the southern city of Sidon after the new wave of violence which has swept through the city harvesting lives. With tensions running high and widespread or illegal arms, security officials have warned that they will be striking with an iron fist against whoever puts the country’s security in jeopardy and attempts to cause strife. “israeli” Documents: US Provided Cover for Sabra, Shatila Massacre

“israel” duped the United Stated into believing that “thousands of terrorists” remained in west Beirut following the expulsion of Palestinian fighters 30 years ago, providing cover for the 1982 massacre in the Sabra and Shatila refugee camps, according to recently declassified “Israeli” documents.

The documents include verbatim transcripts of meetings between US and “israeli” officials before and during the three-day massacre led by the right-wing Lebanese Christian Phalange militia that left roughly 2,000 people dead, mostly children, women and elderly men.
“[The transcripts] reveal that the “israelis” misled American diplomats about events in Beirut and bullied them into accepting the spurious claim that thousands of “terrorists” were in the camps, The New York Times, which obtained the documents, reported.
“Most troubling, when the United States was in a position to exert strong diplomatic pressure on israel that could have ended the atrocities, it failed to do so,” the newspaper added.

The Palestinian fighters had previously been evacuated from Lebanon in a US-coordinated effort whereby they provided assurances to protect the camp’s residents, which included both Palestinians and Lebanese. Continue reading
