Press TV correspondent, Maya Nasser, killed in Syrian capital

By MKERone

Maya Nasser was killed by a sniper in Damascus, today. And that’s a Nato technique without a doubt. Another western assassination in Syria… Be sure that no international investagition will follow this hideous crime. No-one will be punished for this crime. No international community reaction will be displayed on all TV stations, no Hillary Clinton “the war criminal” declaration. No one will talk about it at the UN, no one will blame this assassination. Once again, you will witness international silence.

Don’t expect your usual PRESSTITUTES to talk about this great man, a man that knew the meaning of journalism, during the daily news.

That is the reason why we post about his assassination. We want the world to know. So please spread the word. The world needs to know!

Don’t make Maya Nasser lifetime work end up in the trash of history and useless. This man gave his life for truth. A hero. A real hero.

His death is such a terrible news.
I can’t belive he got killed. Such a courageous and honest man! May peace be upon him.

We will always remember him and will always be grateful for all he did to bring truth to light.

Obama Sends More Drones, Marines to Libya, But Did They Ever Leave?

Apparently, there is nothing so permanent as a temporary US war

by John Glaser (Source: Antiwar)
The Obama administration has ordered military reinforcements to Libya following the attack on the US consulate building this week, but the truth is drones had never left Libya’s skies and US Marines have been carrying out missions on the ground since the end of NATO’s war there last year.

The US suspects al-Qaeda affiliates were involved in starting the attack on the US consulate in Libya, which killed the American ambassador and three others, and has not only started an FBI investigation into the incident, but has ordered more drones to surveil Libya, as well as up to 50 additional US Marines and US warships equipped with Tomahawk missiles off the northern coast.

But the Defense Department toldWired‘s Danger Room that the drones never left, despite the fact that the NATO air war in Libya came to an end almost a year ago.

“Yes, we have been flying CAPs [combat air patrols] since the war ended,” said Army Lt. Col. Steve Warren, a Pentagon spokesman. These have apparently been done for surveillance purposes with the consent of the new Libyan government. Continue reading

US vows to ‘hasten the day Syrian president falls’

US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton delivers remarks during a press conference at the US consulate in the Pacific port city of Vladivostok in Russia on September 9, 2012 after taking part in the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) summit.

The United States repeats its subversive rhetoric against Syria, admitting, however, that Russian opposition has prevented it from realizing its ambition of bringing down the Syrian government.

“…we will work with like-minded states to support the Syrian opposition to hasten the day [Syrian President Bashar] Assad falls…,” US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said in the Pacific port city of Vladivostok in Russia on Sunday as she wrapped up an Asia tour.

She said she had argued in favor of upping pressure on Assad in talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, but admitted, “We haven’t seen eye to eye with Russia on Syria. That may continue….”

Anti-Syria Western regimes have been calling for Assad to step down.  Continue reading

Syrian false flag planned?

A member of the foreign-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) takes aims with a sniper rifle at a checkpoint in the northern city of Aleppo on August 20, 2012

By Stephen Lendman

Never bet against Washington’s imperial plans. New tactics follow failed ones. Efforts to oust Bashar- al-Assad continue. Proxy killers can’t do it alone. They’re no match against Syria’s superior military strength. It’s committed to rout them.

Expect NATO intervention anytime or perhaps post-US November elections. Libya 2.0 looks increasingly likely. What better way to finesse it than by staging a false flag attack blamed on Assad.

America’s false flag history suggests it. In 1898, Spain was falsely accused of blowing up the USS Maine in Havana, Cuba harbor. The Spanish-American war followed.

Franklin Delano Roosevelt manipulated Japan to attack Pearl Harbor. South Korea was used to instigate war on the North. Lyndon Johnson wanted war on Vietnam and got it.  Continue reading

Deputy Minister for the Development, of the Negev and the Galilee Ayoob Kara’s bureau Chief, has met with Syrian insurgents in Bulgaria as Tel Aviv’s official envoy.

Mendi Safadi held the meeting during his recent visit to Bulgaria.

Israel’s ambassador to Sofia said he was not aware of the schedule for the meeting, and was left out of the talks.

Safadi, however, insisted that his trip to Bulgaria was at the request of an unnamed body within the Israeli regime.

He claimed to have extensive connections with Syrian insurgents, hinting that he had organized meetings between Israeli Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman and anti-Damascus figures.

Sadafi said there are things that he could not tell the media. Continue reading

Sarkozy urges Libyan scenario in Syria

Nicolas Sarkozy.(REUTERS / Yves Herman)

Former French president Nicolas Sarkozy, the spearhead of last year’s campaign to oust Muammar Gaddafi, has called for rapid international action on Syria, comparing the current crisis with the situation in Libya.

Sarkozy has spoken with the Syrian opposition leader, Abdulbaset Sieda, and both agreed there is a need for foreign intervention in Syria in order to stop the ongoing crisis, Reuters reports.

They noted a total convergence in their views on the seriousness of the Syrian crisis as well as the need for rapid action by the international community to avoid massacres,” said a statement signed by Sarkozy and Sieda, the president of the Istanbul-based Syrian National Council. “They agreed that there are great similarities with the Libyan crisis,” said the statement. Kony 2012-Style PR Stunt To Sell War On Syria (Matthew Vandyke the accomplice of crimes against humanity)

A mercenary who was previously embedded with U.S. troops and also fought with Libyan rebels is set to produce a documentary film in an effort to propagandize for the invasion of Syria, drawing his inspiration from Kony 2012, the infamous “viral” video that drew widespread criticism for its role in using manipulative techniques to grease the skids for U.S. military intervention in Africa.

Accomplice of crimes against humanity: Matthew Vandyke

33-year-old American Matthew VanDyke (Editor’s Note: Please do not hesitate to tell him how much you despise him on his twitter account: @Matt_VanDyke) is a film maker and war correspondent who was embedded with the U.S. Military in Iraq. In 2011, VanDyke traveled to Libya to fight with NATO-backed rebels, many of whom were members of LIFG, an Al-Qaeda offshoot responsible for killing U.S. troops in Iraq.

VanDyke was subsequently imprisoned by the Libyan regime for nearly six months but managed to escape and aid rebels in overthrowing Colonel Gaddafi and turning Libya, once the richest country in Africa, into a chaotic NATO puppet state run by “out of control” sectarian thugs who have imprisoned, tortured and killed thousands of black Libyans.

Despite his direct aid and support for the LIFG, a group listed as a terrorist organization by the U.S. State Department, VanDyke faced no legal retribution from the U.S. government.

Even as many of the same Al-Qaeda terrorists who fought in Libya and Iraq now flood into Syria to back the insurgency against President Bashar Assad, VanDyke has announced he plans to travel to Syria to “join the rebels on the front line” and film a documentary as part of a “public relations campaign” to “generate an incredible amount of publicity” in creating support for the overthrow of the Syrian government. Libya 2.0: Media Hysteria Over Syria “Bombing” City of Aleppo

If tired WMD lies won’t convince the public to back foreign intervention, perhaps recycled lies from Libya?
by Tony Cartalucci

July 24, 2012 – The Telegraph has reported (emphasis added), “fighter jets have reportedlylaunched bomb attacks on Syria’s second city of Aleppo, which, if confirmed, would be the first time Assad forces had used war planes against citizens.”

A sole”tweet” from BBC’s Ian Pannell, who has yet to provide any source, evidence, or details regarding his vague claim, immediately made headlines across the Western media.

The claim is based on a single “tweet” from BBC’s Ian Pannell who, after hours of making his his claim that, “fighter jets have bombed eastern #Aleppo city. A significant escalation and perhaps the first time they’ve been used in #Syrian conflict,” has failed categorically to cite his source, provide any evidence of his claims, or provide details of the targets and context of the attacks, if indeed they took place. Yet the Western media “echo chamber” began repeating the story seconds after it was posted, and through this alone it attempted to validate the claim while building momentum behind NATO insinuations.

Taken from an official Defense Department transcript, the US Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, and Admiral Michael Mullen both concede they’d seen no confirmation “whatsoever” regarding claims by the corporate media that Libya’s Qaddafi had used airstrikes against his own people. However, this fabrication would be used for very real airstrikes, not by Qaddafi, but by NATO under the guise of the “Responsibility to Protect.”

Narratives of “brutal dictators” bombing civilians with aircraft have been used before, most notably in Libya where verified lies were told regarding Qaddafi’s use of aircraft against the city of Benghazi. These fabrications were used to justify foreign military intervention and regime change under the guise of a “no-fly zone” to “protect civilians.”

However, the US Department of Defense itself noted that none of these accusations were founded in fact or confirmed in any way, and the Russian government went as far as providing satellite imagery of sites allegedly bombed to show no such strikes were made.

Ironically, NATO’s subsequent “protection of civilians” flattened several cities across the country, slaying thousands of civilians.   Continue reading

German intelligence: al-Qaeda all over Syria

By John Rosenthal

German intelligence estimates that “around 90” terror attacks that “can be attributed to organizations that are close to al-Qaeda or jihadist groups” were carried out in Syria between the end of December and the beginning of July, as reported by the German daily Die Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ). This was revealed by the German government in a response to a parliamentary question.

In response to the same question, the German government admitted that it had received several reports from the German foreign intelligence service, the BND, on the May 25 massacre in the Syrian town of Houla. But it noted that the content of these reports was to remain classified “by reason of national interest”, Like many other Western governments, Germany expelled Syria’s ambassador in the immediate aftermath of the massacre, holding the Syrian government responsible for the violence.

Meanwhile, at least three major German newspapers – Die Welt, the FAZ, and the mass-market tabloid Bild – have published reports attributing responsibility for the massacre to anti-government rebel forces or treating this as the most probable scenario.  Continue reading
