Car Blast Kills 12 at Damascus Funeral


A terrorist booby-trapped car on Tuesday blew up during the escorting of Monday’s martyrs in Jaramana city in Damascus countryside, state-run SANA news agency reported.

A car exploded during the funeral killing twelve people and injuring 48 others, State television said without giving further details.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights confirmed the blast in Jaramana suburb and said it was caused by a car bomb.

“In the suburb of Jaramana, a car laden with explosives hit a funeral held for two regime supporters,” said the watchdog, adding that “some people were critically injured.” Continue reading
