Coup and counter-coup in Washington

General David Petraeus, former CIA director

By Webster Griffin Tarpley

Sometimes, generals purge politicians. In 1648, during the English Civil War, Colonel Pride and his troops removed those members of the Long Parliament who opposed military domination; the puppets who remained were called the Rump Parliament.

This year, a cabal of generals evidently believed it could secure the White House for Mitt Romney by staging the Benghazi incident and using it as the signal for a cold coup under cover of elections — probably including computer-generated election fraud — to bring down Obama. They guessed wrong.

Politicians sometimes purge generals. When the French Secret Army Organization (OAS) staged a putsch in Algiers in April 1961 to prevent the independence of Algeria, President de Gaulle had to round up and jail a number of generals and other officers. The Obama administration and its establishment controllers appear to be ousting a number of intelligence and military officials who took part in illegal operations to replace Obama with Romney. These sackings are being presented to the public under the guise of soap opera sexual infractions or expense account padding, in the hope of hiding some real mechanisms of power from the popular gaze. The outgoing US military cabal favors the extension of colonial wars, like those in Iraq and Afghanistan, as well as an attack on Iran. Good riddance.

General Petraeus: Neocon Who Sought War with Iran

The most spectacular example is the fall of General David Petraeus, the CIA director, and one of the leading US advocates of an early war with Iran. The heads of several other rogue figures are rolling. The result is one of those rare moments when parts of the rogue network or invisible government can be observed by those who have enough knowledge to understand what they are seeing. But the firings have only scratched the surface.

The Romney backers were made up of neocons, Bush holdovers, and members of the Mormon Mafia in the intelligence community — a relatively narrow base. The Obama supporters were the Brzezinski-Nye soft power group and military opposed to the Iran war. The neocons and reactionary Mormons wanted to restore aggressive war and wholesale bombing as the preferred option for US foreign policy. Although they love drones and assassinations, they want to keep significant US conventional forces in the Middle East.  Continue reading

US-Backed Terrorists Murder US’ Own Ambassador in Libya

Murdered US Ambassador exposes Libya “progress” propaganda – provides a warning against US meddling in Syria.
by Tony Cartalucci ( Land Destroyer )

September 12, 2012 – “I have met with these brave fighters, and they are not Al-Qaeda. To the contrary: They are Libyan patriots who want to liberate their nation. We should help them do it.” –Senator John McCain in Benghazi, Libya April 22, 2011.

Senator John McCain in the terrorist rat nest of Benghazi after marshaling cash, weapons, and political support for militants tied directly to Al Qaeda. McCain’s insistence that the terrorists he helped arm and install into power were “not Al Qaeda” runs contra to the US Army’s own reports which state that Benghazi’s terror brigades officially merged with Al Qaeda in 2007. McCain’s “Libyan patriots” have now killed US Ambassador Stevens with RPG’s most likely procured with cash and logistic networks set up by NATO last year, part of a supranational terror campaign that includes violently subverting Syria – a campaign McCain also supports

McCain’s “Libyan patriots” have now murdered US Ambassador John Christopher Stevens in the very city McCain spoke these words. An assault on the American consulate in the eastern city of Benghazi, the epicenter of not only last year’s violent subversion and destruction of sovereign Libya, but a decade’s old epicenter of global terrorism, left Ambassador Stevens dead along with two of his aides. Seeds of Conflict: Sectarian split creeps into Syria

Here you have the perfect example of the total failure of the West ! Western evil minds thought that destroying Syria and obtaining a UN mandate as they did for Libya, would be an easy thing. But no, it isn’t. It is IMPOSSIBLE. Not only because China and Russia vetoed US resolution at the UN (despite EU and the Arab League backing it strongly), but also because Syrian people are strong and resilient.

So now the West, with its Al Qaeda fighters brought from Libya, local terrorists financed and armed by the Gulf Monarchies, the Western countries, Turkey and israHell, are trying to plunge the country into a sectarian war. That’s their last resort to achieve their evil plan.

But we all know, we, lovers of beautiful Syria, that this won’t happen. Syrian people are clever and know what the so called “international community” is trying to do. Plunge Syria into a civil war to justify a Nato “humanitarian” intervention thus way, granting a total access to Syrian ressources and market to US corporations.

Iranian navy shadows USS Abraham Lincoln through Hormuz Strait

Iranian patrol boats and planes have trailed the American aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln as it passed through the Strait of Hormuz on Tuesday.

Iran’s navy never approached the battle group closer than half a mile, making a point to stay in the Iranian waters. Radar operators also revealed an Iranian drone and surveillance helicopter zooming in the Persian country’s airspace near the strategic strait. A patrol plane buzzed over the Lincoln, said Rear Adm. Troy Shoemaker, commander of the Abraham Lincoln Carrier Strike Force.

We would do the same things off the coast of the United States… It’s more than reasonable. We’re operating in their backyard,” he said.

Flanked by several choppers and enforced by the cruiser USS Cape St. George and destroyer USS Sterett, the American battle group passed the narrow strait without incident, reports the Associated Press. Continue reading

Petrodollar pumping US policy on Iran, backfire looms

An oil field near Pol-e-Dokhtar, Iran

As tensions between the US and Iran heat up, author Michael T. Winter believes the main reason behind America’s harsh stance is Tehran’s move to seek an alternative to the dollar as an oil currency.

Economic sanctions, spearheaded by the US and, less willingly, the EU could have a disastrous effect on both of their respective economies.  If Iran cannot sell their oil to Europe, there are plenty of customers waiting in the wings, and if they come bearing not petrodollars, but gold and sovereign currencies, then all the better for Iran.  These sanctions, if enforced, will in effect place a serious dent in the power of the petrodollar.

Any rhetoric regarding Iran’s nuclear program and the insistence on crippling it is nothing more than a US attempt to force regime change for one more receptive to maintaining the hegemony of the petrodollar.

The world now knows the truth about the US and how they conduct their affairs.  US hostilities toward Iran have nothing to do with nuclear weapons development.  If that were the case, then North Korea and Pakistan would be facing similar sanctions and threats, but they aren’t. The difference of course is in what lies beneath the ground – oil. Iran has it and the other guys don’t.

At the heart of the issue is not Iran’s dubious attempt to build nuclear weapons, or even oil, but how that oil is paid for.  In 1973, Richard Nixon promised King Faisal of Saudi Arabia that the US would protect Saudi Arabian oilfields from any and all interested parties seeking to forcefully wrest them from the House of Saud.  It’s important to remember that in 1973, Saudi Arabia didn’t have a fraction of the military and ground forces it possesses today (almost exclusively US manufactured weapons) and the USSR was very much a threat. When Angelina Jolie Provokes Arabs against Iran …

Sponsoring the propaganda of the American-Zionist policy of a so-called Persian suspect project in the Arab world, American actress Angelina Jolie works hard enough to provoke the Arabs against Iran and dig the gap deeper between Muslims.

“We don’t want the Arab nation to become a satellite of its Persian neighbor, Iran,” she said in an interview with the cinematographic magazine “The Examiner“, when asked about her views on current events in the Arab world.
((According to the interview, it wasn’t clear who the “we” are!))

The Hollywood star, member of the Council on Foreign Relations in 2007 and a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in 2001, said she is worried about the so-called “possible Iranian invasion in the Arab region, amid recent developments.”

She believed Iran is interfering in Syria to prevent the overthrow of the Syrian regime.

The American magazine reported that in 2009 and 2011, Jolie went to the camps for Iraqi refugees in Syria, along with the Syrian president and his wife, and to the camp of the Syrian refugees in Turkey. Continue reading
