Foreigners train Syrian rebels in Afghanistan to use chem weapons – Lavrov

There are reports that some third countries are training Syrian rebels to use chemical weapons in Afghanistan, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said. The intention is to put the skill to use in new false flag actions in Syria, he explained.

The suspected training happened in Afghan territories not under control of the government in Kabul, Lavrov said.

“Some reports indicate that [Al-Qaeda-linked radical] Al-Nusra Front is planning to smuggle toxic compounds and relevant specialists into Iraqi territory to stage terrorist attacks there this time,” Lavrov said.

Iran warns of ‘harsh consequences’ if US acts on Syria

Source: Yahoonews

A war of words erupted Sunday over Syria as Washington said it is ready to take action over chemical weapons attacks and Tehran warned US intervention would carry “harsh consequences”.

Pressure mounted on Damascus to allow a UN probe of chemical attacks, with French President Francois Hollande saying evidence indicated the regime in war-ravaged Syria was to blame and Israel demanding action against its neighbour.

The Al-Nusra Front, a fierce Al-Qaeda-linked group fighting the regime of Bashar al-Assad, vowed revenge against villages of the Syrian president’s minority Alawite community.

Doctors Without Borders said 355 people died this week of “neurotoxic” symptoms, after Syria’s opposition claimed regime forces unleashed chemicals east and southwest of Damascus on Wednesday causing more than 1,300 deaths. [EDITOR’S NOTE: NGO Doctors Without Borders ha been and is still being complicit of the ‘Al-Qaeda Franchise Al-Nusra Front. We will demonstrate it in a future post.]

If confirmed, it would be the deadliest use of chemical agents since late Iraqi dictator Saddam Hussein gassed Iranian troops and Kurdish rebels in the 1980s.

US President Barack Obama said a year ago that the use of chemical weapons by Assad’s forces was a “red line” that could trigger Western intervention.

On Sunday a strident warning came from Washington’s archfoe Iran.

“If the United States crosses this red line, there will be harsh consequences for the White House,” armed forces deputy chief of staff Massoud Jazayeri said.

Brzezinski: Saudi Arabia, Qatar, their western allies orchestrated Syria crisis

The former US national security adviser says the ongoing crisis in Syria has been orchestrated by Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and their western allies.

“In late 2011 there are outbreaks in Syria produced by a drought and abetted by two well-known autocracies in the Middle East: Qatar and Saudi Arabia,” Zbigniew Brzezinski said in an interview with The National Interest on June 24.

He added that US President Barack Obama also supported the unrest in Syria and suddenly announced that President Bashar al-Assad “has to go — without, apparently, any real preparation for making that happen.”

“Then in the spring of 2012, the election year here, the CIA under General Petraeus, according to The New York Times of March 24th of this year, a very revealing article, mounts a large-scale effort to assist the Qataris and the Saudis and link them somehow with the Turks in that effort,” said Brzezinski, who was former White House national security adviser under Jimmy Carter and now a counselor and trustee at the Center for Strategic and International Studies and a senior research professor at the School of Advanced International Studies at Johns Hopkins University.

Criticizing the Obama administration’s policies regarding Syria, he questioned, “Was this a strategic position? Why did we all of a sudden decide that Syria had to be destabilized and its government overthrown? Had it ever been explained to the American people? Then in the latter part of 2012, especially after the elections, the tide of conflict turns somewhat against the rebels. And it becomes clear that not all of those rebels are all that ‘democratic.’ And so the whole policy begins to be reconsidered.”

“I think these things need to be clarified so that one can have a more insightful understanding of what exactly US policy was aiming at,” Brzezinski added.

He also called on US officials to push much more urgently to draw in China, Russia and other regional powers to reach some kind of peaceful end to the Syrian crisis.

“I think if we tackle the issue alone with the Russians, which I think has to be done because they’re involved partially, and if we do it relying primarily on the former colonial powers in the region-France and Great Britain, who are really hated in the region-the chances of success are not as high as if we do engage in it, somehow, with China, India and Japan, which have a stake in a more stable Middle East,” Brzezinski said.

Brzezinski also warned again any US-led military intervention in Syria or arming the militants fighting government forces there.

“I’m afraid that we’re headed toward an ineffective American intervention, which is even worse. There are circumstances in which intervention is not the best but also not the worst of all outcomes. But what you are talking about means increasing our aid to the least effective of the forces opposing Assad. So at best, it’s simply damaging to our credibility. At worst, it hastens the victory of groups that are much more hostile to us than Assad ever was. I still do not understand why — and that refers to my first answer — why we concluded somewhere back in 2011 or 2012 — an election year, incidentally that Assad should go.”

Foreign-sponsored militancy in Syria, which erupted in March 2011, has claimed the lives of many people, including large numbers of Syrian soldiers and security personnel.

the New York Times said in a recent report the CIA was cooperating with Turkey and a number of other regional governments to supply arms to militants fighting the government in Syria.

The report comes as the US has repeatedly voiced concern over weapons falling into the hands of al-Qaeda-linked terrorist groups.

Al-Nusra Front was named a terrorist organization by Washington last December, even though it has been fighting with the US-backed so-called Free Syrian Army in its battle against Damascus.

West committed atrocities not Syria government: Chossudovsky

Press TV has conducted an interview with Michel Chossudovsky, Center for Research on Globalization, Montreal, on the back of UN concern for the Syrian war spilling over into other countries.

The following is an approximate transcript of the interview.

Press TV: The UN is warning of an explosion in the Middle East if the war on Syria continues. The question is what has the UN itself done to prevent the war from exacerbating?

Chossudovsky: First of all, that statement was made by the head of the United Nations High Commission for Refugees. And the statement says that if the fighting doesn’t stop… the fighting is going to stop because the terrorists have been defeated

And essentially if Western powers put a moratorium on their support to these al-Qaeda affiliated rebels, the war is over – at least, the ground war is over. Recent developments suggest and confirm that the country is under the control of the Syrian government. The rebel forces have been defeated in al-Qusayr and they’ve also been defeated in other parts of the country.

The question of humanitarian aid has to be, from my standpoint, addressed because, who are the protagonists for humanitarian aid, so-called humanitarian aid? Precisely the countries, which supported these rebel terrorists.

And I think what we should be raising at this stage is that it is well established that this war was waged by the United States, NATO and Israel with the support of the [Persian] Gulf states Qatar and Saudi Arabia in particular and that under international law what is now required is war reparations.

“Syria militants defacto mercenaries of Israel” : Analyst

An analyst says that the armed al-Qaeda terrorists in Syria are “defacto Israeli mercenaries”, trying to destabilize the country by “driving a wedge into the split” there in order to satisfy Israel’s regional interests.

In the latest development of the armed crisis in Syria, the Zionist regime’s fighter jets violated the Syrian airspace and bombarded a research center near the capital city of Damascus on Wednesday, January 30. Meanwhile the Secretary of Iran Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili condemned the raid saying that the Zionist regime of Tel Aviv will regret attacking Syria. Syria has been experiencing a foreign-sponsored armed rebellion since March 2011. Many people, including large numbers of security forces, have been killed in the fighting. According to the Syrian government, the chaos is being orchestrated from outside of the country, and there are reports that a very large number of the militants are foreign nationals belonging to the extremist and terrorist organizations such as al-Qaeda and al-Nusra Front backed by some regional and Western countries.

To discuss the issue at hand, Press TV has conducted an interview with Mr. Kevin Barrett, with the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance from the Iranian capital city of Tehran. He is joined by two additional guests on Press TV’s The Debate program: Eric Draitser, founder of from New York City and Richard Hellman, with the Middle East Research Center from Washington D.C. What follows is an approximate transcription of the interview.

Press TV: Mr. Kevin Barrett, what does the Israeli intervention in Syria, basically, mean to you?

Some are saying that Israel is concerned, that President Assad is losing his grip on power, as a result on his country’s arsenal including the chemical weapons.

Again the concerns that have been raised on the issue of Syria’s weapons and how this is going to affect the region and this is pointed out, rather, as a major concern for Israel and the United States.

Barrett: Well, I think that that is nonsense. The chemical weapons issue is disinformation. We have caught these al-Qaeda, so-called Syrian rebel groups funded by the Zionists and by the Saudis, making plans for false flag attacks with chemical weapons to be blamed on the Syrian government. So I do not think that that is the reason at all.

I think that this is a last ditch desperate act because they are not making any progress. The insurgency in Syria which is really more of a destabilization effort directed by foreigners is bogged down and I think what this attack on Damascus really reveals, is an amazing convergence between Israel and al-Qaeda. They seem to be on the same side, all the time.

Israel is destabilizing Syria, al-Qaeda is destabilizing Syria; Israel wants to undermine Lebanon, al-Qaeda undermines Lebanon. You know, al-Qaeda runs around attacking Muslims all over the world and Israel runs around attacking Muslims all over the world and it makes me wonder whether maybe Israel is actually just another branch of al-Qaeda.

So I think that I am going to write a letter to President Obama and ask him to consider a drone strike against the chief of the al-Qaeda branch of occupied Palestine, whose name happens to be Benjamin Netanyahu.

Press TV: Let us just look at how the Syrian government has been responding to this Israeli strike.

We had the Syrian Defense Minister General Fahd Jassem al-Freij, I will put this question to Kevin Barrett; we had him saying that Israel attacked the research center because rebels were unable to capture it and he called the rebels, “Israel’s tools”.

Now Assad also said that the raid unmasked the true role that Israel is playing; he said, in collaboration with foreign enemy forces and their agents on Syrian soil

So would you say that as the government in Syria is saying that Israel was, from the beginning point, collaborating with the insurgents; though not directly?

Barrett: Well, absolutely. Israel has been trying to destabilize its neighboring countries for decades.

The Yinon plan, which was revealed back around, I believe 1970, set out the Israeli strategy for future decades and that strategy was based on balkanizing the Middle East; breaking up the nations around the region which could pose a strategic threat to Israel some day because the people of the region have no use for Israeli apartheid, so in order to deal with this unsustainable situation in this settler colony in Palestine, they have decided that they are going to have to break up the countries around them into the small and powerless units and to do that they are striking on the fault lines that already exist; the fault lines of the Sunni- Shiite divide; the fault lines between different ethnic groups, the Kurds, etc. the Alawites in Syria versus the Muslim Brotherhood.

Syria: Another Arms Depot in Damascus – Most terrorists are foreigners

German Federal Intelligence Service (BND / Bundesnachrichtendienst): Most terrorists are foreigners.

The Syrian Arab Army has discovered another arms cache, which was hidden in a drainage canal in the Syrian capital Damascus, while the battles and the urban warfare in parts of the country between the Syrian Army and the Western-backed terrorists and religious fanatics continue.

Syria – Foreign fighters

The hidden arms cache was discovered in the Qaban area of the Syrian capital Damascus on Sunday. Among the discovered weapons, the Syrian Arab Army has also found rocket propelled grenades and also a mortar launcher.

As usually, the weapons are either hidden in tunnels like it was the situation in Qaban (Damascus), in empty flats and, sadly but true, the Western-backed armed groups of the so-called “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) also converted mosques into bases and weapons depots. Of course, because of reasons.

As military sources have told, a number of these armed fighters and mercenaries were also killed during the fighting between the Syrian Arab Army and these Western-backed groups in this district of Damascus on Sunday.
In addition, the Syrian Arab Army has also stormed another camp of these Western-backed troops in Zabadani that is located in the province of Damascus. A number of armed fighters were arrested in this maneuver.

Of course, the fights between the Syrian Arab Army and the foreign-supported fighters, mercenaries and religious fanatics also continue in other parts of Syria. For example, there have been again fights between the Syrian Army and the Western-backed groups, that are often called the “Free Syrian Army” (FSA), in Dara`a, Hama, Idlib (Idleb) and Aleppo.

As long as the West tries to destabilize Syria by terrorism and groups of religious fanatics and trained mercenaries, there will be no day without any fight in Syria. If this is the kind of democracy the West prays and tries to sell to other countries, serious and peaceful people should reject this.

At least, the Syrian Arab Army gains more and more skills in urban warfare and more and more streets and districts are cleaned from foreign-supported fighters. This is one of the huge hypocrisies of the Western imperialism.

They don`t want Islamists in their own countries, but when it comes to their geo-political (and other) goals, they support radical Islamists and religious fanatics abroad. A policy that has finally nothing to do with democratic and peaceful values and what is also against international law. In a better world, these Western politicians would face several lawsuits and finally be jailed.

As said, at least, the Syrian Arab Army was able to again clear some more districts of armed terrorist and Islamist groups in the northern Syrian city, Aleppo.

In the northeastern Syrian city of Qamishili (Qamishli), where mainly Kurdish inhabitants live, at least four people were killed and many other people injured in a horrible car bomb attack that was carried out by the so-called “Free Syrian Army” (FSA). Thus, it is no surprise that the Kurds in Syria mainly oppose the terrorism of the Western-backed terrorist groups and religious fanatics.

In addition, an allegedly commander of a group of foreign-supported armed fighters was killed by his own radical members of this group. It is said that they turned against their commander and finally killed him. After the developments between the ranks of these different groups, that are labeled as “Free Syrian Army” (FSA) by Western media because it is easier to maintain and sell the related propaganda stories, it is to believe that this killing of their own commander (Rabea Swaidan) really happened in the Syrian city of Dara`a, which is located in the southwest of Syria.

Russia: If US supports rebels, Russia will Support Syria

Vladimir Zhirinovsky has labeled calls by US senators demanding Barack Obama directly support the Syrian opposition “absolutely unacceptable.”

He said his party would demand a Russian response. In an article appeared this week in The Washington Post, three influential senators called on the Obama administration to “directly and openly provide robust assistance to the armed opposition, including weapons, intelligence and training.” In the event of US military intervention in Syria, Zhirinovsky warned that “Syria will follow the fate of Afghanistan, Iraq, Libya and other countries.”

Although his party is opposed to outside military interference in the affairs of independent states, “if the US senators’ calls for supporting the Syrian opposition ‘with fire and sword’ are put into practice, the Liberal Democratic Party will insist on a Russian response.” “If the Republican senators succeed in persuading the US president to provide military support to the Syrian rebels, we will demand that the Russian leadership openly side with the Syrian government,” the Russian politician added. “Gangs of armed terrorists are acting in Syria under the guise of opposition status,” he said.

Graphic images of TERRORISTS torturing Elders of Berri Tribe Before Killing Them

By MKERone

Coward terrorists torturing civilians for their support of President Bashar Al Assad.

Those terrorists are being financed by Western Gulf israHELL Nato evil elite, under the guise of financing “freedom & democracy”. Is that democracy? Being tortured for your ideas ?

Once again, we notice the extreme duplicity of the White Empire and its stooges.

We don’t give long before the wind blows back at the Zionist Bedouins (Gulf illegitimate monarchies)… They’re just being used by the White Empire to destroy a sovereign nation and bring about chaos.

US history proved it many times, once you’re not useful anymore to the US hegemony Zionist Yinon Plan, you’re screwed, and they’ll come after you. Perfect example: Saddam Hussein. He carried out a 8 years criminal war against Iran, a total failure by the way, and 3 years after, the 1st Gulf War happened. And then, the 2003 colonial invasion of Iraq leaving more than a million and a half civilians dead, and counting…

So after the total failure of destroying Syria, expect huge blow backs at the zionist bedouins !
